"The Walking Dead" mid-season promo

By now you've probably heard of Comic Book Men, AMC's new reality-based show from that other King of All Media, Kevin Smith.

The long, national nightmare is finally over now that AMC has confirmed the fifth season of Mad Men will drop March 25 and that it's going to be a two-hour episode.

AMC is developing a television series based on the 1990 film Goodfellas. Nicholas Pileggi, who co-wrote the Oscar-winning film with Martin Scorsese and penned the book the movie was based on, is set to executive produce the project. Homicide: Life on the Street producer Jorma Zamacona will also executive produce, along with original producer Irwin Winkler and David Winkler. Goodfellas starred Robert DeNiro, Ray Liotta, Lorraine Bracco and Joe Pesci, and followed Henry (Liotta) and his friends as they move up the mob hierarchy.

AMC is developing a Goodfellas tv show with Nicholas Pileggi . It'll be a prequel to the movie's story. No word on if Martin Scorcese will be involved, like he was with Boardwalk Empire on HBO. Not sure how to feel about this one.

Che ormai la tv se non il primario è il quasi primario mezzo per la stesura di nuovi linguaggi, tanto per quello che riguarda le sceneggiature quanto i personaggi e le trame vere e proprie (Aaron Sorkin per dire, viene da lì e ora di là se lo litigano) per il cinema il 2011 è stato forse l'anno con più alto valore qualitativo di sempre sparso nelle varie serie tv. For fans who can't wait for the Season 2 premiere of The Walking Dead on October 16, Collider reports AMC is launching a six-episode Walking Dead web series that will reveal the pre-apocalypse backstory of Hannah - that creepy "bicycle girl" zombie that Rick offed in the show's pilot.
