As we begin this list of the songs of Radiohead, we immediately run into the folly of such a project. After all, this is a band that pays strict attention to the thematic flow of their albums, which means a song like the ethereal instrumental "Treefingers" is stripped of much of its meaning when evaluated all by its lonesome.
Radiohead Amnesiac (Capitol, 2001) Most of the time, I'm pretty sure that Amnesiac is just as good as Kid A and occasionally I think it's better. The second wave of expanded Radiohead Capitol catalog albums hits August 25 with the release of deluxe versions of Kid A (2000), Amnesiac (2001) and Hail To The Thief (2003) in multi-disc formats. Were it not for "Creep," an unlikely single that the band wasn't even that crazy about, Radiohead might never have become the best band in the world. The single and its legend somewhat overwhelms the album which contained it. That album, 1993's Pablo Honey , is being re-released with a bonus disc of extras.
