"I'm in love with a girl, Who's in love with the world, Though I can't help but follow. Though I know some day, She is bound to go away, And stay over the rainbow. Gotta learn how to let her go. Over the rainbow." If there was ever a song to put life in perspective, this is it. Amos Lee's track Keep it Loose, Keep It Tight is from his stellar 2005 self titled debut album.
As the Crow Flies , an EP with six unreleased tracks Amos Lee recorded with acclaimed Americana band Calexico during sessions for his excellent 2010 album Mission Bell , is now on the docket for a February 14 release. We think the best of the lot is "Mama Sail To Me", a beautiful tailored track filled with graceful melodic lines and perfectly nuanced production and instrumental backing from Calexico founders Joey Burns and John Cavatino -- and, of course, Lee's distinctive, sweet and soulful vocals. [...]

With Christmas out of the way, and the year almost over, it's time I finally get around to compiling my Top 20 albums of the year of 2011 (in fact, there are 21 entries). Each album is represented on the mix with a song, and each entry has a link to the artist's homepage or other outlet where the album can be ordered from. Because this list is intended not only to show off my impeccable taste, but also to showcase artists, all data files in the mix have been downscaled to 128kbps. This is not really a chart, but [...]

During Amos Lee 's sold-out show at Academy Of Music last Saturday, Lee performed a cover of Guns N' Roses' "November Rain." Below, you can watch a video of the performance (courtesy of Youtube user Voicesforever ) as well as Guns N' Roses' original video for the song.

Sorry, I only have a few pictures because I was too busy enjoying the show. The Academy of Music is by far the nicest venue I've ever been in - it is amazing. To see Amos Lee perform in this amazing venue was incredible. The last time I saw Amos Lee in concert was almost a year ago to the date in Delaware at the Grand Opera House ( Nov. 6, 2010 ) and I thought that show was wonderful – last night's show was a million times better. It was so nice to hear a [...]
