Como parte del proyecto Three Artists, One Song de Converse, el estudio del multitasking Damon Albarn recibió ni más ni menos que a James Murphy (ex LCD Soundsystem) y André 3000 (mitad de OutKast). The much hyped song was great fun, with a standout verse from André 3000, and now the accompanying video will make your morning a million times better. With Gorillaz' arch animator Jamie Hewlett on board, the video was never going to be dull, but this 5 minute clip is packed so full of amusing touches and oblique references that it needs watching a few times to take everything in. Expect 3 Stacks in a fridge, bowls of ears and a sweat collector. Brilliant.

The video was done by longtime Gorillaz animator Jamie Hewlett and brings the primates out of the animated world and into real life with some pretty looking CGI. Not content with releasing a trim, radio-friendly 3 minute single of their collaboration with Andre 3000 and LCD Soundsystem' James Murphy, Gorillaz have made available an extended 13-minute mix of the Converse-sponsored 'DoYaThing'. All present and correct are Albarn's trademark soulful warblings, joined by similarly gentle vocals from Andre 3000 and even a bit of rapping. Meanwhile, LCD's Murphy brings to the table a proggy white noise breakdown, over which Andre exclaims "I'm the shit!". Gorillaz. LCD Soundsystem. Andre 3000. Pretty good line up ey? They've hooked up to produce a track for Converse -  for some reason one of very few brands that it seems perfectably for musicians to cosy up to. Best of all, it sounds exactly like you'd expect a song from these three to sound like, or as Converse themselves put it:  "DoYaThing gets freakish as it brings together the perfect cocktail of Gorillaz, Andre 3000 and James Murphy." Today, over at their website , American lifestyle clothing giant Converse are offering an exclusive free download of a new Gorillaz track, featuring Outkast's Andre 3000 and LCD Soundsystem 's James Murphy. 'DoYaThing' is an almost predictable Albarn affair, with slurry vocals and DIY beats tied together by uber cool free-form rap. It's a commercial release which aims to promote a new line of trainers, designed by comic book and Gorillaz artist-in-residence Jamie Hewlett. Yesterday the new track by the Gorillaz was released. This track is a funky rendition that utilizes its guest collaborators, James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem and Andre 3000, very well. It has the catchy sound of a classic LCD Soundsystem track with an added flow from Andre 3ooo to finish it off. Gorillaz have teamed up with James Murphy ( LCD Soundsystem ) and Andre 3000 and put out a pretty-fucking-good collab track "DoYaThing".  The song is the result of Converse's 3 Artists, 1 Song campaign in which they, you guessed it, get 3 artists together in a studio to create a song in one sitting.  You can download the track for free here .  Or just stream it above. via Converse

Gorillaz and Converse are two things that normally give me a rash of repulsion. But somehow they've sewn themselves together and made not only a pair of camo-Converse that I lust after, but also a track with Andre 3000 and LCD Soundsystems James Murphy that is more addictive than amphetamine enhanced Haribo.
