En knægt ved navn Sunik Kim fra Hong Kong (men egentlig koreaner), nu bosiddende i New Hampshire, USA, hvor han går på kostskole. If Panda Bear’s (Noah Lennox) last solo album Person Pitch is anything to go by fans would expect to hear delightfully challenging music, full of ingenious sampling and catchy melodies but on Tomboy Lennox explores rhythm in an entirely different way. There is a clear movement away from methods of tape manipulation with emphasis on guitar driven rhythms. Indeed Tomboy’s producer, Sonic Boom was a member of Spacemen 3 and at time we hear Lennox creating hypnotic driving rhythms akin to the pioneering shoegazers. Read more..
