Another One Bites The Dust Jim Sharp is back with another handful of crafted edits of old and new. A particular favorite of mine is the Otis edit. The best bit, in my opinion, of Kanye & Jay Z's track Otis is of course the sample of Reading himself, Jim has blended the original edit with the rap vocals giving the man credit for such an awesome track to begin with. There's Plenty Of Depression For Alt-Country Fans These Days [Another One Bites The Dust] After 75 issues, No Depression shut down its print magazine and shifted to a "daily Web site" model in October 2008. However, apparently there's not quite enough money in Internet publishing to pay writers, etc., so the site is changing again, this time to some sort of blog/social networking/message board combination with contributions from the previous staff. The site hadn't managed to work out kinks in content and technology since its relaunch, but I assumed that they would eventually figure things out and provide the generally quality coverage that the magazine delivered on, so [...]

While Idolator wouldn't likely be considered a friend of the site , I felt a little sad to see the news that Wired is closing its music blog Listening Post , sending Eliot Van Buskirk to the site's business blog and Scott Thill to the culture blog Epicenter. I don't know if I'll miss the site's two or three posts a day, but I don't think I'd go to the extent of the commenter on the finale post who said "can't you get rid of scott shill and keep the blog?"
