I was lucky enough to be raised by a guy who had a solid appreciation for a bossa nova. This is why we listened to a lot of Antonio Carlos Jobim, the veritable godfather of the genre, in our house. Bossa nova is a beautiful melding of samba, folk and imported American jazz.
