"As Asbury Park began to transform into something new, I realized I wanted to capture the Asbury Park I had experienced, or at least what was left of it. These photos, taken between 2005 and 2008, are part of that effort."

Stone Temple Pilots are on a low key summer tour playing more intimate outdoor venues this year compared to the amphitheatres they've played in the past. The band's touring in support of their self-titled album released last year. STP played the Stone Pony Summerstage in Asbury Park, NJ on Tuesday night. Our photographer Josh Lowe ( flickr ) was there to get some shots of Scott Weiland and the band in action. There's no better way to people psyched about Bonnaroo than with a tour featuring some of the most talked about up and coming bands playing the Festival next month. The tour, headlined by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals kicked off last week at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ. Interpol has not performed in Asbury Park for over a decade and last night I had the pleasure of attending their show at the legendary Paramount Theater in Asbury Park, NJ.      MUSIC NEWS -  No need to travel to Rumson, NJ this Halloween season, Bruce won't be decorating the homestead !  Trick-or-treaters won't find the decorations outside Bruce Springsteen 's New Jersey mansion this Halloween.  Bruce and Patti decided not to go through with their normal elaborate Halloween display featuring masked characters and decorations.   Writing on his website, Springsteen blames " catastrophic success ."  The NJ rocker and his wife say too many visitors to their Rumson neighborhood raised concerns for the safety of children / parents and created a traffic mess on the local roads !  (His neighbors are probably pleased with [...]

MUSIC NEWS - Show organizers have announced the lineup for the ninth annual Light of Day concerts in Asbury Park, NJ. These shows benefit Parkinson's disease research and those who suffer from the motor system disorder. The shows, which this year will also celebrate the 50th birthday of Light of Day founder Bob Benjamin, will occur on November 1 & 2 in two different Asbury Park venues.
