We were thinking today about "Lake Michigan" when we learned that Zach Rogue and Rogue Wave had completed their fourth as-yet-untitled album for a scheduled release on Jack Johnson's Brushfire label March 2. Recorded in Oxford, Mississippi this past spring, the project is certainly near the top of our "Can't Wait" list for the new year. New Wax Under Sub Pop Records, Oakland indie-rock outfit Rogue Wave released two strong albums with 2003's Out Of The Shadow and 2005's Descended Like Vultures . For their new release, Asleep At Heaven's Gate (props for the clever album name), the band finds itself on Brushfire Records, which is owned by Jack Johnson.
