E' arrivata come un fumine a ciel sereno dall'Australia la notizia della fine del progetto targato Grinderman . A dare l'annuncio propio mr.

Chelsea Wolfe released a dark and murky version of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds' I Let Love In. It's pretty damn cool. Check it out. Chelsea Wolfe; I Let Love In (Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds Cover)
MP3 One of my favorite female singer-songwriters, Chelsea Wolfe, covers an artist I was sure had an influence on her latest album, Nick Cave. The original had a dark story and lead vocal, of course, but Chelsea's version takes that darkness and translates it into a murky recording as well. Download and stream above. Check out my review of Wolfe's latest album right here .

Chelsea Wolfe sticks to her guns with her reverberated, hazy, and distant cover of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds 1994 song "I Let Love In." But while the recording style and aesthetic is very much Wolfe's, the melody sticks with Cave's original, creating a compelling listen. Check out the track below and look for Chelsea Wolfe's Ἀποκάλυψις , out now on Pendu Sound Recordings. (Via V Magazine )
Nick Cave is right up there with Leonard Cohen and the late Jeff Buckley as being one of those musicians everyone claims to love but if you look purely at record sales all three still hover closer to cult status rather than international superstars…which is far from being a bad thing (unless you have to [...]

It's business as usual for the latest instalment in Mute's ongoing Bad Seeds reissue campaign that documents the, ahem, Evolution of the Cave-man. In other words, startling reminders of half-forgotten gems for long term Nick Cave fans and an eye-opening opportunity to bask in the majesty of prime Bad Seeds for newcomers. It's hard to think of another artist who could match Nick Cave's gradual ascension from the near-universal disdain The Birthday Party - Cave's early, notoriously unhealthy swamp-blues unit - were met with to the kind of liberal superlative-sampling that's welcomed [...]

Wikipedia Egads, another week, another repeat. It's turning into a regular clips episode around here. But again, I have good reason - because this week, Pulp and I will be meeting up in the year 2011 at Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Spain and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds will be along for the ride. Okay, it'll actually be Cave and company in their guise as Grinderman , but that kind of fits with this week's selections. I'll direct you back to the December 2009 [...]

It's been a good, long while since we've had a giveaway on the site, but I hope you'll agree that this has been well worth the wait! We have a prize pack of the final 4 Bad Seeds albums to receive the remaster treatment. This includes Let Love In , Murder Ballads , The Boatmans Call , and No More Shall We Part . NYC singer Saadi mixes the sounds of her Syrian roots with shoegaze dance beats and the ambient output of Brian Eno. Her Bad Seeds EP is a pretty good soundtrack for an early Spring day. For once the remixes make sense. Dodecahedron from her Clothesline album gets a makeover by The Soundmen and Galactic Classics). Recommended if you like The Asteroids Galaxy Tour, Obi Best, The Bird and The Bee. Tracks: Bad Seeds Bad Seeds [...]

Saadi's new EP "Bad Seeds" is now available HERE .
What is it with the elder statesman of indie rock and having schedules of men half their age? First, Wayne Coyne and The Flaming Lips were readying some reissues and a collaboration with young padawans Neon Indian , and now Nick Cave is showing his continued vitality by readying his own collabo with UNKLE and a batch of reissues from Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds (via TwentyFourBit ). Turns out being weird is like shotgunning water from the Fountain of Youth. In a recent announcement on their [...]
![[Listen/Download] – Quiet Lights – "No More Canyons"](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3204376_lg.jpg)
We introduced Quiet Lights back in January this year when they released their first single " Ablaze ". I was lucky enough to pick up their second release, the gorgeously ethereal "No More Canyons" and what a treat it is. Although the band hails from Brooklyn, NYC, you could easily imagine them drifting out of a Scandinavian wilderness. Drawing on influences from The Bad Seeds to Guy Maddin and picking up comparisons to Sigur Ros and Stars , they are already receiving great acclaim and this release is soon going to be adding [...]
Audiography was born of the desire to capture a history of popular music through the stories of the people, places and things that made it. By weaving discussion and song, we'll explore scenes and sounds that have helped to make music - be it popular or outsider, mainstream or alternative, known or unknown – what it is. Music so often tells a story, but there is often a story to the music itself. There are many stories to tell. The goal of Audiography is to tell some of them. In our inaugural edition of Audiography we begin an [...]

Filed under: News , Holy Hell Bad Seed number one, Nick Cave , has escaped unharmed from a curious automobile accident in the English coastal town of Hove on Tuesday night, December 7, according to a report by NME . His twin sons, who were his only passengers, also escaped without injury. Cave's Jaguar was the only vehicle involved in the crash. Perhaps ironically, the car crashed into a roadside speed camera. Local authorities clarified that the camera [...]
