Here's some recently surfaced footage of Band Of Horses playing a new song, "Long Vows," a couple weeks ago at Lolla Brazil. Keep in mind that it was an acoustic set, so you might have to use your imagination a little bit to hypothesize what it might sound like with the band's usual soaring guitars. Watch it below. Their new LP, produced by Glyn Johns, out later this year. Read More...

Photo by Josh Darr A mini-documentary chronocling Band of Horses' 2010 show at Big Sur, California's Henry Miller Library has made its way online, as TwentyFourBit points out . Spanning 22 minutes, the film also includes performances at Al Jardine's famed Red Barn Recording Studios (with Jardine in attendance!) and in an underground tunnel. Watch it below.

Last week, My Morning Jacket played MSG and in the midst of their epic sprawl of a live show, the band unwrapped covers of Gil Scott-Heron's " The Bottle " and Bing Crosby's " I'll Be Home For Christmas ," a song they also handled on their latest iTunes Session EP. Band Of Horses, the opener, filled in as support for the latter. Check the live videos out down below. Read More...

Photo by Nate Slevin My Morning Jacket may not be on this year's list of best live acts , but they’re still one of the best experiences on the circuit. Last week, the Kentucky rockers wrapped up their string of winter dates with a show at Madison Square Garden, and as usual their set was sprinkled with some killer covers (how usual? Check this guy’s list out). First, Jim James & Co. served up a rendition of the late Gil Scott-Heron’s “The Bottle”. Remaining very faithful [...]
Since 1985, Neil Young has hosted his annual Bridge School Benefit , bringing together an assortment of artists for a two-day festival that supports the Hillsborough, CA-based school, which assists children with severe speech and physical impairments. This year's inclusion, set to take place this weekend at The Shoreline Amphitheatre on October 22-23rd, marks the event's 25th anniversary, and to celebrate Young has tagged the likes of Beck, Foo Fighters, Arcade Fire, Mumford & Sons, Eddie Vedder, and many more. However, unlike previous years, the organizers are ensuring millions witness the event. To start, Saturday's festivities will [...]
![[Listen] – New Song By Tyler Ramsey – “The Nightbird”](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3745493_lg.jpg)
Tweet Band Of Horses guitarist Tyler Ramsey releases what could very well be his best song yet with "The Nightbird" . The Lyrics are haunting with the heaviness of life and coming to grips with those things that weigh us down coupled with the determination of releasing them. Sure as a metaphor anyone could listen to "The Nightbird" and place their own meanings, their own motivations, into the song and make it out about anything, that's the Achilles [...]
Good news for My Morning Jacket fans just dropped in my inbox. While the band is coming off a triumphant headlining set on Saturday night at ACL Fest , they're looking ahead to a December full of awesomeness with the announcement that they'll be playing dates with Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Delta Spirit and Band of Horses , with the latter band getting the honor of gracing the stage with MMJ at their return to Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, December 14th. [...]

Infinite Arms , Band Of Horses' last album, came out about 16 months ago. But maybe they should've called it Infinite Promotional Cycle , since they're still out there working the thing. Last night, they showed up on Conan to perform the title track. Watch it below, and respect Ben Bridwell's onstage whistling game. Read More...
Last night, Band of Horses stopped by Conan O'Brien's TBS talk show to perform the title track from 20102s Infinite Arms release. Ben Bridwell's haunting vocals really pop in this tune and the band has clearly got this arrangement down. Take a look... Band of Horses - Infinite Arms [via The Audio Perv ]
Band Of Horses stepped onto the stage of Conan O'Brien's late night talk show last night to put in a performance of their latest albums title track. You can watch the band howl through "Infinite Arms" at the top courtesy of our friends over at The Audio Perv . You can pick up Infinite Arms over here if you want to get your hands on it.

If a child was born on May 18, 2010, then that child's over a year old now. It might even be learning to walk. It might have even said its first word. That gives you some perspective on how long Band of Horses' last LP has been out, simply because that aforementioned date is when it hit stores. Yet still the South Carolina indie folksters continue to support their third full-length LP, Infinite Arms . On Wednesday night, the troupe stopped by Conan to flesh out a live version of the titular track. Naturally, [...]

DOWNLOAD: Copenhagen Collaboration - The Funeral HOLY indiemusicgasm. I’m in awe of Copenhagen Collaboration’s near perfection in this cover. This hit the interwebs in early June but it did not get enough blog attention because I am just seeing it now. My apologies if every time you hear “The Funeral” you picture James Franco drinking his own pee in 127 Hours or you get salty because you miss A Kid Named Cudi era Cudi. Actually I’m not sorry because you can temporarily replace [...]

A group of bands from Copenhagen, Denmark called the Copenhagen Collaboration covers Band of Horses 'The Funeral'.
Stay away from the spiked punch if you see a Casper-looking dude milling around the bowl.
Together and apart, tour covers of 'Stories We Could Tell,' 'Pale Blue Eyes,' 'Purple Rain,' and 'The Funeral.'
