Amanhã é Valentine's Day, o dia dos namorados em vários países, e pensando nisso, a Vogue escolheu alguns artistas e pediu para que eles fizessem novas versões de suas músicas mais românticas. Na última segunda-feira, a Vogue divulgou a contribuição de  Bat For Lashes ao projeto. A cantora escolheu a faixa  Marilyn , de seu mais recente álbum,  The Haunted Man . A nova versão da música foi feita apenas com uma guitarra, com a adição de alguns efeitos sonoros e a voz inconfundível de  Natasha Khan . Você pode conferir tudo abaixo.

A day late on this one... but here's a new slow burner torch jam from the highly anticipated new Bat for Lashes record The Haunted Man coming our October 15th on EMI Natasha Khan (and Kate Bush) owned this sound before Lana Del Rey was out of high school.

I think it's safe to say that this new Bat For Lashes track is written for either Marilyn Monroe, Marilyn Manson, or Charles Manson. I mean, who else would it be about? "Marilyn" , which can be downloaded from Amazon for free,   has a more lazy, end-of-summer feel to it, and breaks off into a bit of a synth-based slant, at least compared to "Laura" (which was either written about Laura Linney or Laura Bush), the other new cut to [...]
