I expected a more mystical approach in the video for the eerie "Sleep Alone," at least somewhere along the lines of Pearl's Dream . However, even though it's not very spiritually/mystical and so on, the video is still very much weird and packed with subtleties. At heart, it's quite simple. Nat can't stand to sleep alone, so she builds a robot like guardian, which she dreamt, out of cardboard and weird red triangles which she gathered from a sort of treasure hunt. Weird and dreamy. The trouble with Bat For Lashes albums is that you have to nitpick what's good and what's drab. Sometimes one song can contain a great verse with a tepid bridge. Two Suns has managed to win over some hearts, but there are things on there that are just boring acoustica. Still, this one is a good. It's good that it got the third single treatment because she needs a sales push, she only got to silver and in the UK alone.
