London duo Still Corners have released their sophomore album today, named Strange Pleasures and it's highly recommend you get it on your playlist rotation. For me this album is a fresh breath of dream pop air drawing some similarities to a Beach House sound, with elements of Youth Lagoon and our featured track striking a Grimes chord. All these similarities put aside as this is their sound and this LP is full of some cracking tracks. I've already had 'Beatcity' on repeat along with, 'Fireflies'. Cut a listen here [...]

friday night vids :: METZ + Buke and Gase + Purling Hiss + Dan Deacon + Beach House + Cars & Trains + Parenthetical Girls
To my amazement, we missed this amazing video from Beach House yesterday for the song "Wishes" off of their latest album, In Bloom . The video, directed by Eric Wareheim (of Tim & Eric fame, also cameos in the video), features a ridiculous premise when looked at on paper, but is still remarkably beautiful. I can't explain it, but I love this video.
So what do you get when you ask Eric Wareheim from Tim & Eric to direct your music video? Just ask Beach House, as they did just that for "Wishes." The video is utterly bizarre and ridiculous, and stars the great character actor, Ray Wise . Eric is also in there, blink, and you just may miss his cameo. Watch the video below.
A ton of music videos made their way onto the world wide web today and Rock it Out! Blog wants you to decide which one is the best. Think of this as a music video battle royale, where the losers are stoned and the winner is showered in gold. Ok, so maybe not, but seriously, which of today's many new videos was your favorite? "Mantra" from Dave Grohl, Josh Homme, and Trent Reznor ? "Entertainment" from Phoenix ? " Wishes" from Beach House ? "I Wanna Dance (but I Don't Know How)" from SKATERS ? Or "Evil [...]
The second weird, well-done, charming, big-budget indie video of the day happens to showcase a track from last spring: "Wishes," off Beach House's Bloom LP. Directed by Eric Warheim, of Tim and Eric, and featuring ... read more

In the newest video from Beach House , the always clever Eric Wareheim (of Tim & Eric) goes pretty far out there to a (high school?) sporting event that exists merely in dreams. Beach House - Wishes Buy Beach House's album 'Teen Dream' from iTunes by clicking here .

Here's a weird one, Baltimore's Beach House just dropped their latest visuals for Wishes off their album Bloom . Directed by the hilarious Eric Wareheim , one half of Adult Swim's Tim and Eric , and staring Ray Wise ( Mad Men , Twin Peaks ) the video is set at a surreal halftime show that is more cultish than any collegiate event I have ever been a part of. Of the music video, Wareheim commented, " Beach House , Ray Wise , fireworks, and horses. How can I go [...]
Getting Eric Wareheim of Tim And Eric to direct a music video seems like a good idea if you're an artist who likes weird sh*t. He just doesn't disappoint in [...] The post Beach House - "Wishes" Video appeared first on The Smoking Section .
Beach House "Wishes" Here is the latest Beach House video for "Wishes" from their album Bloom . I couldn't have asked for more; squirt bottles, acrobatics, track suits, Ray Wise from Twin Peaks, a horse... Directed by Eric Warheim
I realize that this video might and probably is NOT most peoples cup of tea, but as far as I am concerned Eric Wareheim can do NO wrong when it comes to most things. Especially directing music videos. And boy can Ray Wise ride the heck out of a horse and lip sync the crap out of a Beach House song!
Beach House released their short film "Forever Still" today via Pitchfork.tv . I finally got around to sitting down and properly watching the entire thing. It's a thing of beauty. It shows the band playing tracks from Bloom (Wild, The Hours, Wishes, Irene) in various outdoor settings in El Paso & Tornillo Texas. It starts with day turning into night and goes through another sunset and into dawn. The band directed the video along with Max Goldman . If you're a Beach House fan, then this is a must for you. Victoria Legrand is going [...]

So I guess I'm supposed to blog some shit I like on this site once in awhile or something (sick of these interventions). In that case, I got some #realhiphop shit for you. Like straight out of the Boot Camp Clik DVD Knife scrambled to show me last night. The lyricism and overall boom bap vibe has me wishing I worked with On&On & Trees during the height of UGHH.com. Yeah this video is like 3 months old by now (almost old enough to be considered classic), but I figure most hermits who read JTTS have no other way of [...]
