You knew this one was coming, the second part to Beach House 's fantastic Jools Holland visit where they played "Myth" at the start of the week. This time they played Record Store Day single "Lazuli" beneath a rosy red glow, stoic as ever, gorgeous as ever. Beach House: Bloom - Beach House is an indie pop duo from Baltimore, MD. If you've never heard Beach House before, there's really only a few ways to describe them. I would say they were indie dream pop with minimalist keyboards, deep female vocals and glittery guitars... which is exactly what they were on their first 2 records. Today is Record Store Day in many parts of the world, a day that sees exclusive limited runs of vinyl by some of the world's best acts, and Beach House 's part in all of this was the first physical release from their upcoming album "Bloom", after the digital release of "Myth" . Back in early March we posted the first single from Beach House's upcoming second album Myth . Well now they've just released the second, Lazuli , and it's rather brilliant too. Echoey soundscapes underpin a menacing, reverb-drenched vocal. The band recently hinted that Bloom will be darker than its predecessor Teen Dream explaining that its themes are "death and loss of innocence" . Can't wait. Lazuli will be released on Record Store Day (April 21) with the B-side, non-album track Equal Mind .

We Listen For You puts it best "Beach House is doing that thing where they only make amazing songs." After dropping the oh-so-good "Myth" last month , Beach House have followed it up with the release of "Lazuli" .  Both tracks are super good (i still enjoy "Myth" a bit more) and I can't wait for hear the rest of Bloom , which is Beach House's upcoming LP Bloom is shaping up to be one 20122s best. I can't stop listening to this wonderful, mystical song. "Myth" is the first single from Beach House's new album Bloom out May 15. On record store day (April 21) Beach House will be releasing a blue vinyl single of "Lazuli." The b-side will feature the song "Equal Mind" that the band says, "will never exist in a digital way."
