Filed under: News , Video , New Releases YouTube Fact: Every time Eric Wareheim of " Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job! " directs a music video , it automatically becomes the de facto greatest music video ever. However, the new video for Beach House 's song "Wishes," off 2012's critically and commercially successful Bloom , may claim that spot permanently. Sorry, Major Lazer .

Coming off of Beach House 's latest album, Bloom , the new visuals for "Wishes" are fantastical and captivating. Featuring actor Ray Wise, the video is set at a high school pep rally with the most enthusiastic cheer team and lots of spirit fingers. Says director Eric Wareheim of the video: "Beach House, Ray Wise, fireworks, and horses. How can I go wrong? This is the first project that I've ever collaborated creatively with the band. Victoria's imagery inspired me to create this special half time show. It also helps that Beach House is literally on my top [...]
Beach House "Wishes" Here is the latest Beach House video for "Wishes" from their album Bloom . I couldn't have asked for more; squirt bottles, acrobatics, track suits, Ray Wise from Twin Peaks, a horse... Directed by Eric Warheim
Wow! That is all I have to say about Beach House's new video for Bloom track "Wishes". The video, directed by Eric Warheim and starring Ray Wise, is an absolute stunner. It takes place in a football stadium with medieval times dressed with horses, fireworks, cheerleaders, and more. I really have no other words to describe it other than epic. Watch below.

Beach House 's Bloom has been out for quite a while now, yet the dreamy indie-pop album hasn't lost any of its luster. Thanks to director Eric Wareheim, we now get yet another reason to give this album a spin. Taking to standout "Wishes", Wareheim whips up a whimsical set of visuals with cheerleaders, fireworks and Ray Wise. Yes, Ray Wise, who is actually singing during the halftime performance. Anyway, this is great in so many ways, and it is best you just watch it for yourself below.

Eric Wareheim, one half of the absurdist comedy duo Tim & Eric , doesn't direct music videos too often, but when he does, he can be relied upon to produce some grandly bizarre vision. That's certainly the case with his video for Beach House's majestic Bloom grower "Wishes." It stars Ray Wise (Leland Palmer from Twin Peaks !), riding a horse and lit by fireworks, singing the song at some sort of futuristic martial arts/gymnastics/cheerleading exhibition in a soccer stadium. The clip feels like a peak into some alternate dimension's ideas about [...]
There's probably a lot of symbolism we're not getting in Beach House new video for "Wishes." Either that, or director Eric Wareheim is riffing on things we might read as big metaphors. Whatever. The video is an fantasy halftime show at the sporting event featuring actor Ray Wise looking oh-so-reverent amid acrobats and dancers, playing to a strange crowd all wrapped up in the moment. The Super Bowl halftime should have been this whimsical, or at least less bloated. Or, it should have had Beach House's "Bloom" as a soundtrack. ||| Live: Beach House plays April [...]
In the last 12 months Beach House have taken quite a visual approach to their music. They've released music videos for "New Year" , "Wild" , and "Lazuli" , as well released a short film Forever Still set to music from their stunning album Bloom . Today they shared their Eric Warheim-directed, Ray Wise-starring video for "Wishes", set at the most epic-looking American [...]
The contrast is enormous in the Eric Wareheim -directed video for Beach House 's Wishes : an old man (which happens to be actor Ray Wise of Mad Men/Twin Peaks fame) performing a quite sad song surrounded by youngsters in colorful outfits doing tricks, but it's amazing in a weird way.

A whole mess of great videos this week, from some unexpected places as well as the expected ones. When Flatbush Zombies release an excellently hallucinogenic rap video about dropping liquid acid in your orange juice and then hitting the bodega and showing off the skull in your gold fronts - usually my personal sweet spot - and it doesn't make the top five, that's a good week. The stuff that did make the list is below. Read More...

While watching this video I had a write up on what I felt Beach House was trying to accomplish with their short film, 'Forever Still.' Thankfully while researching I found a few words from Beach House describing the video. Check out 'Forever Still' and their reason and inspiration of the film below. “Forever Still is directly inspired by Pink Floyd’s Live at Pompeii. We wanted to perform in a non-typical setting without losing the spirit of our music. We felt the songs would resonate in a more majestic and spiritual landscape. The experience was an intense [...]
