Beacons of Ancestorship dishes out the unexpected; like the kid in high school whose atrocious sense of fashion confounded others in light of his striking wit and intellect. If my brain were made of chips and magnets rather than nerve cells and soft tissue, I might like this album. Devo ammettere che pensando e ascoltando soprattutto i Tortoise , lo storico gruppo di Chicago capofila di una via americana più elettronica e jazzistica al post rock, mi si sono sempre formate nella testa linee e architetture ben definite.
