Surviving Beastie Boys members Adam Horovitz ("Ad-Rock") and Michael Diamond ("Mike D") have signed a deal to write a memoir about their hip-hop trio, which also included Adam Yauch ("MCA"), who died last year after a bout with cancer. Random House imprint Spiegel & Grau, the publishers behind Jay-Z 's Decoded , took on the still-untitled project, which is set for a fall 2015 release. In what has to be one of the worst-timed legal actions ever (not that there's ever a good time to get sued, mind you), hip hop/R&B record label Tuf America filed a lawsuit against Beastie Boys last Thursday — one day before band member Adam Yauch lost his life to cancer —  in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. Adam Yauch , a member and co-founder of the Beastie Boys , has died at the age of 47. Yauch, known in the group as MCA, was diagnosed with cancer in 2009 and had been in treatment the last few years. He was optimistic about his prognosis, but stayed out of the spotlight upon the release of the band's Hot Sauce Committee, Part Two , and did not attend the group's induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame last month.
