Beirut's latest video from The Rip Tide is a melancholic yet peaceful journey over the ocean.
Zach Condon and company are still riding the high of their successful 2011 release and are making sure that you're not forgetting about them not that we're halfway through 2012. To help bring some attention back to The Rip Tide , the band has teamed up with director Houmam Abdalla for a video to the album's title track. The theme of the video is simple enough with a wondering yacht that finds it's way into what looks like the inside of a lava lamp.
More often than not, today’s music videos have absolutely nothing to do with their auditory inspiration. Rather than acting as a subservient mercenary, these visual aids rule over the Kingdom of Non-Sequitur with a haughty pride and an army of Richard James’s leering face . Only very rarely does a music video capture the true quintessence of the song for which it is, allegedly, created as a counterpart. For all you readers out there who have grown accustomed to the irrelevance pervading the industry, brace yourself for the synestheziure-inducing new video for Beirut ’s “The Rip [...]

Go on a peaceful Sunday evening sea voyage with Beirut in their new video for “The Rip Tide”. Do watch this in HD, as starting around 2:45, this gets visually stunning. Pick up The Rip Tide now . Beirut - “The Rip Tide”
Beirut has a new video, The Rip Tide , the title track off Zach Condon's album from last year.
Beirut "The Rip Tide" I was fully convinced for a good minute or so that this was just going to be four and a half minutes of a boat floating around in the ocean. I mean I guess it still was, and even if it didn't turn awesome half way through, I still would have enjoyed it because, you know, it's Beirut . But I'm pleased with the outcome and I will always be happy with new Beirut videos (hopefully). "The Rip Tide" is directed by [...]

Confira abaixo The Rip Tide :

It's a life after death of sorts for Beirut 's The Rip Tide album, which reached our top spot this past year in terms of albums. As the album slowly slipped away from us in 2012, this video has rekindled our lost love for this remarkable collection from the indie scene's most treasured artists. Beirut's video for The Rip Tide 's title-track is one of the most beautiful and serene videos we've seen since Bon Iver's "Holocene" . As shown below, a ship slowly rocks in the [...]

Enjoy.
Check out Beirut's newest addition to his artistic ways with the official video for 'The Rip Tide'. Zach Condon has this to say about the song and new video... "I always felt that 'The Rip Tide' wasn't fully able to project its own ambitions in song form . . . no matter how it was performed or recorded, it felt contained by sound alone. . . I wanted more, as I often do with my music, and this is not a bad thing. Growing to accept a song's limits is part of the [...]
It's been about a year since Beirut dropped their fourth album The Rip Tide and they're still dropping gorgeous videos for it. This time, for the album's title track, it's a solitary boat sailing through the sea as wonderfully-simplistic yet beautifully-striking imagery is being played out above the horizon. You want retro? Beirut will give you retro!

Beirut has released a new video for "Vagabond" from their recent album The Rip Tide . Directed by Sunset Television, the video tells the story of group of soldiers and sailors flirting with nurses and hard-living local girls at a dance. It was shot at the beautiful Warsaw dancehall in Greenpoint and inspired by the look of Milos Forman movies from the 60's. There were a couple of live chickens on set who were surprisingly easy to work with and natural onscreen. They also tended to shit the moment the camera was on them. With all the [...]

As 2012 begins and everyone turns their eyes to compiling lists from this year's releases we tend to let the great stuff from 2011 fade into the background. The Rip Tide was one of the great album releases of 2011 and the video for "Vagabond" reminds us of that. The black & white video is an odd one indeed which looks like it takes place at a French ballroom during WWII with military personnel participating in strange dancing, smoking contests, binge drinking (as well as the results thereof) and of course chicken chasing.
