© 2013 Ben Morse Ben Marwood looks like a genuine, real life, serial killer in his video for 'Lock & Key'. The singer/songwriter is set to release 'Back Down', his second full-length, on May 13th and this video - directed by, friend of The Ruckus, Ben Morse - only serves to make a little more excited and a little creeped out at the same time. Marwood has been honing his craft for many years now and it's great to see musician of his calibre get the attention they deserve. Many will have seen him [...]

[Our dear friend Ben Morse , photographer, director, and burrito enthusiast, has once again shared his albums of the year with us. Here are the top five (check out 10-6 here ).-Tiffiny] 5. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - The Heist Macklemore is everywhere. The guy tours relentlessly, and 2012 has been an incredible year. Millions of youtube views, amazing original beats from Ryan Lewis, and an image and sound that aims for the mainstream and lands squarely there. Fresh, [...]

Photo by Ben Morse [I am so, so, so pleased to bring you these sessions, a collaborative effort between my two favorite Bens ( Ben Marwood on guitar and Ben Morse on camera). Here's some words from Marwood himself on the songs and the session. -Tiffiny] As Summer was turning to Autumn, and before it got too damn dark and cold to be in England in a room without heating at 7pm, I sat down with (local, as it happens) visual superhero Ben [...]

"The Beers" is both Melanie and Ben's second favorite track out of all The Front Bottoms' songs, so we're really excited to present part two of the session that Ben filmed with them a couple of weeks ago. Enjoy this solo acoustic version of the song, featuring Brian standing patriotically near the flagpole that he so wanted to climb - and don't forget to check out Part 1 here .

"I have a confession to make: I messed up your burrito." Brian Sella of The Front Bottoms is apologising to me about mistaken Mexican food, while we clean up the show, in the art gallery, inside a castle, where The Front Bottoms have just played a solid hour of the best singalong punk rock to come to the UK in a long while. As moments go, it's up there. I first got into these guys driving home from a bar in Philadelphia back in February. Jenny, our designated driver nearly had [...]

This track very possibly could have passed me by if not for the incomparable Ben Morse who recommended this song with an emphatic "love". This project was put together by Esquire , with the challenge to write a song inspired by the phrase "pacific standard time". And I'm not going to lie, it sounds a little hokey to me. But I listened and it is a really good song. Really, really good. This sounds like a Hold Steady track to me- in the narrative [...]

We've gotten to know Swear and Shake through our dear friend Ben Morse , who happened to be directing a video for the band (biased much?). Anyway, we have indeed grown to love Swear and Shake- they're exactly what's right about folk music in a world that it's becoming a little too over-saturated in. Kari Spieler's smoky, sultry vocals are rounded out with harmonies that are to die for. They carry a huge enthusiastic sound that will leave you tapping and clapping along. "These White Walls" will appear on [...]

Music makes me happy. 2011 made me very happy - SO MUCH good music. Here are ten, not necessarily in order, albums I loved this year. I'm still doing it in reverse order though, because it's my list, and I want to. 10. American Nomad - Apache Relay American Nomad sounds like a warm summer afternoon. It's all happy jangly guitars, nice harmonies, and underpinned by a drive to get on the road and get lost. It's constantly listenable and I love it. They sit [...]

I was floored by this song the first time I heard it and it continues to be one of my favorite Frank Turner songs of all time. When our friend Ben Morse tweeted this I could not download and listen to it fast enough. Franz Nicolay covering this song seems like a bit of a dream come true. It's just as wonderful as you think it is. [Listen to the original here .] Franz Nicolay - Balthazar Impresario (Frank Turner Cover)

Blah blah blah - Tiffiny loves Frank Turner . We all know this. Anyway, "Wessex Boy" is one of my favorite songs from England Keep My Bones and though gutted I didn't get to hear it live yet, I think it's a great choice for a single. The video is footage of volunteer buskers in Winchester and footage of Frank and the Sleeping Souls in Arizona put together by the wonderful Ben Morse . Enjoy.
