JC Brooks & The Uptown Sound to star in upcoming musical Members of famed local soul band JC Brooks & The Uptown Sound have been cast in the Chicago adaptation of the Tony-award winning rock and roll musical "Passing Strange." The show will hit the Chicago Center for the Performing Arts stage in late April for a month-long run.
