Best Coast - The Only Place (Mexican Summer) A terra na qual o sol nunca se põe.
The biggest release this week for indie music lovers probably comes down to a battle between Beach House and Best Coast - both of which are male-female duos, and have thematically similar band names. However, their sound and style are totally different. On their new single, "Myth," Baltimore daydream pop masters Beach House deliver more [...] Read more, get songs or stream the entire mix on Indie Rock Cafe

What a week this time around... when more than half of the bands sound familiar, it should be a splendid one. Obviously, we don't need to speak to it much more if you've tuned-in to our Weekend Burn . Beach House 's Bloom album should be a must-listen this week. The Cribs are also out with In the Belly of the Brazen . After previewing this album, The Cribs have not done anything notably different or bigger than their last album Ignore the Ignorate . Lots of tracks on [...]

A pair of duos top this week's list of new releases. Baltimore's Beach House (Alex Scally and Victoria Legrand) have undoubtedly the most anticipated release out this week, if not this year, with their second Sub Pop released LP, and if you thought 20102s Teen Dream was beautiful, wait until you hear Bloom . Our Music Director, Don Yates, calls it a "breakthrough" with its "gorgeously layered, reverb-drenched sound combining celestial keyboards, shimmering guitars, ethereal vocals and sublime pop melodies into heartbreakingly beautiful pop songs." For more "heart-tugging, mostly melancholy songs," check out the latest [...]
