Day 3 of our 4-day countdown of the best of the year. Part 1 (80-61) can be found here . Part 2 (60-41) can be found here . To recap: AlbatRoss and I had 2 guidelines we stuck to in compiling this list: 1) it had to be rap (meaning no R&B - Frank Ocean and Miguel had killer years but they won't be found on this list) and 2) one song per project on the list. We did this (including honorable mentions, of course) to make sure we brought a good variety from the list and not to [...]

Big Boi - Lines (feat. A$AP Rocky & Phantogram) Some how I missed Big Boi’s latest single, Lines which was released earlier this week! The track features A$AP Rocky and vocals from Sarah Barthel of Phantogram . The track will be on Big Boi’s Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors , the follow up to 2010′s excellent Sir Lucious Left Foot , which is out in just a few weeks. Enjoy bonus:

For its inaugural year, Atlanta's Counter.Point Music Festival reeled in around 18,000 festivalgoers, which included not only hometown festivalgoers but outsiders from Chicago, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, and even Cape Town, South Africa. So, yeah, pretty much a success. Not like it was hard, though. Headed by Skrillex, Pretty Lights, Avicii, Bassnectar, and Steve Angello, and working off an undercard that included ATL's own Big Boi, Big Gigantic, Atmosphere, MiMosa, and Wale, the whole thing had success scribbled all over it. Truth: Electronic festivals are a dime a dozen these days, but fans are schilling out far more than [...]
If the quote "female in a domineering role and our rappers, our men, in a submissive role" was something associated with Big Boi and Theophilus London 's not-so-subtle single " She Said OK ", you might be a bit apprehensive. Turns out that is exactly what director Alexi Papalexopoulos wanted to achieve with the visuals for the song, and the result is.... a pretty traditional rap video. Peep the replay above to see Big Boi and Theophilus hanging out with a bunch of naked ladies and smoking cigars.

Will we ever here some Southernplayalisticadillacmuzi k from ATL's Outkast again....probably not. Despite the sad new, we've got Big Boi's collaboration with Theophilus London and their vid with females who seem to have misplaced their clothes.

From the BK rapper's Rose Island mixtape.

Big Boi , Theophilus London and Tre Luce recently promised that the video for their raunchy " She Said OK " would balance out the explicit lyrics (" Let me see your titties / She said OK” ) with a more gentlemanly vibe. "We’re gonna keep the video toned down," London said. So, about that... The video finds Daddy Fat Stacks and Co. admiring or lounging on several vixens writhing around in various states of undress. But it feels elegant, we'll give them that. Check it out up top. [...]
Big Boi has shared the video for his filthy collaboration with Theophilus London, "She Said OK," via filthy video haven Worldstar. London raps towards a girl's mouth from mere inches away, like he's trying to ... read more
A couple of months ago, Big Boi recruited the New York fashion-rapper Theophilus London for the soft-focus sex-jam " She Said OK ." And now we get a video for the song that appears to be made for late-night Cinemax. If Big Boi was going to make a video like this, you'd think he'd make it more of a Benny Hill thing, but apparently not. Alexi Papalexopoulos directs; watch it below. Read More...

Big Boi is back with a video for one of MJF's standout tracks of 2012. As expected, the visual features a ton of beautiful women in not so much clothing, which is probably why the video made its debut on World Star Hiphop and not BET (perhaps we should bring back Uncut). Ironically, though, the video features the edited version (if there really is such a thing) of the track substituting "bittays" for "tittays" and "kittay" for "pussay." "She Said Ok" is the first single off Big Boi's sophomore album, Vicious Lies and Dangerous [...]
Big Boi and Theophilus remind me why it was ok that she said "ok". Look out for Big Boi's Vicious Lies And Dangerous Rumors project dropping November 13th.

Big Boi and Theophilus London 's sensual and straight-forward "She Said OK" has received the visual treatment. With lyrics like "Let me see your tittes... Now let me see your kitty," the two are obviously not fans of subtlety, and the video reflects the very same, playing out like a soft-core porno. Needless to say, don't fullscreen this at work. Watch the video below. ( DGB )

In the music video for Big Boi and Theophilus London' s super risque collabo "She Said OK" , director Alexi Papalexopoulos juxtaposed the naughty, naughty lyrics (i.e. "Lemme see your titties") by having the "female in a domineering role and our rappers, our men, in a submissive role." Despite such lofty, gender-friendly aspirations, the MCs end up smoking cigars, playing a little pool, and hanging around with half-naked women for a highly stylized, but totally traditional rap video. Applaud Mr. Papalexopoulos for the gold-star worthy effort when you watch the video below (via Rap-Up.com ). [...]
The homies over at Def Jam just let go of this new Big Boi track featuring Theophilus London and Tre Luce, "She Said Ok". No word on details but I'm sure it's safe to assume this will be on his next project.
Theophilus London isn't messing around on his great new mixtape Rose Island Vol. 1 , his latest large collection of free music (17 tracks!). Rose Island is not only impressive because of its consistency and quality, but because of the Major Label Album-level collaborations London is throwing in, for free . This 'tape features high profile collaborations with the likes of A$AP Rocky , Big Boi , SADE and Mark Ronson [...]

Theophilus London dropped the highly anticipated Rose Island: Vol. 1 today. Aside from the bangers we’ve already heard (“Big Spender”, “She Said OK”, etc.), there is a lot to like on this mixtape. TL fans should have no problem bumping this all summer. Download here .
While it's true that we (and others) had previously cooled on the tunes of Theophilus London, he fell back into our good graces with joints like "Big Spender" and "She Said OK". The tunes, which feature A$AP Rocky and Big Boi, respectively, showcased a more lively and engaging London, something we had been wanting to hear for a minute. As such, we're hopeful that his new mixtape, Rose Island Vol. 1 , is a step back in the right direction and a chance for the Brooklyn-bred rapper-singer to prove his worth. You can grab the tape below. Download: [...]
