Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day has apparently formed a band with his family members including wife Adrienne (who revealed it ) and sons Jakob and Joe (the latter of Emily's Army .) The group is apparently titled The Boo. The family has apparently pressed a 7-inch together which can be seen here . Thanks to Green Day Authority for the tip.

Green Day will be performing a surprise show at Red 7 in Austin, TX tonight. Much speculation took place after Green Day frontman, Billie Joe Armstrong tweeted, "Green Day show this Thursday! Hint, it's not in California or New York…" The show follows up a surprise show they performed in San Francisco for the Surfrider Foundation benefit a couple of weeks ago. E! Online has posted that Green Day 's Bille Joe Armstrong will be guest starring in the upcoming fourth series of Showtime's Nurse Jackie . It's reported that Armstrong will not be playing himself. E! states: Details on Billie's speculated character: "[JOHN] (Male, 45) He is a badass, has a tattoo that says No Regrets and is a drug user who meets Jackie one night. He is chasing after that ultimate high. Has kids and a wife who don't talk to him anymore."

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong might be regretting a comment he made at a concert over a year ago. Armstrong , while in the middle of playing a song yelled out, "I can't wait for Steve Jobs to die of cancer!". As most know by now Steve Jobs passed away on Wednesday (October 5). After announcing their plans to adapt the hit stage production of Green Day 's American Idiot , Tom Hanks and his Playtone Productions have tapped the band's frontman Billie Joe Armstrong to reprise the role of St. Jimmy on the silver screen (via Spinner ). No word yet on any other additional casting info, but the film is slated to hit theaters in 2013 and will be directed by Michael Mayer (who also directed the Broadway version, along with the crowd pleasing Spring Awakening ).
