I love a really solid pop song and this guy, "Come Night" by Sibille Attar , is about as sugary as they come - of course it's Swedish, produced by one of the dudes in Peter, Bjorn and John , no less. (via Pitchfork )

I missed out on my gig at the Super Happy Funland SXSW after party in Houston this week as my tour bus broke down in Austin, but Space City Rock blog did a really great write up for the gig. I hope people found out in time that I couldn't make it. I'm playing March 25th at Dun Bros Coffee in Katy, TX instead if you want to come and see my show. I’ll admit to being somewhat biased towards Swedish musicians, these days; [...]

After demonstrating his creativity with reworks while working closely with Chromeo on their remix EP, Mayer Hawthorne once again channels those skills to create a nice little remix of Peter Bjorn and John 's "Dig A Little Deeper" off of the Swedes' most recent album, Gimme Some . While more often than not the word "remix" may evoke thoughts of heavy bass and stabbing synths, Hawthorne looks towards the Motown sound for inspiration. Stream the sunny gem of a remix below. Peter Bjorn and John - "Dig A Little Deeper (Mayer [...]

O Gang Gang Dance ganhou [...]
Peter Bjorn and John lifted "Second Chance" from Gimme Some for their performance on Jimmy Kimmel's show last night. This is the kind of sparse, danceable track that has endeared the trio to audiences worldwide, and it's hard not to get wrapped up in the groove as it's delivered with aplomb here. Peter Bjorn and John have morphed into a tight and together live band over the years, allowing their knack for writing incredibly catchy songs to shine through. There's even a clap-along with the audience here that gets the usually stoic Kimmel audience going.

The Swedish trio hit late night TV.

Peter Bjorn and John performed "Dig A Little Deeper" and "Second Chance" on Jimmy Kimmel Live . Watch both songs in the video below and pick up the album Gimme Some on iTunes , Amazon MP3 , CD , Vinyl Social Bookmarking

Ep.487 - Peter Bjorn and John @ El Rey - Los Angeles, CA - 10/05/11 I have wanted to see Peter Bjorn and John for a few years now, but for one reason or another, have never actually caught a full set from the guys. The last time I saw Peter Bjorn and John was at a small in-office showcase. I was absolutely blown away by Peter Bjorn and John 's energy and performance. Peter Bjorn and [...]

Two great musical groups. One night. Release the Sunbird and Peter Bjorn and John.

Peter, Bjorn and John concluded the New York leg of their All You Can Eat Tour earlier this month at the uber-intimate Mercury Lounge. The trio played 5-sold out gigs in the NYC-area at various venues (Brooklyn Bowl, Bowery Ballroom, Music Hall of Williamsburg, Maxwell's, Mercury Lounge) with equally varied set lists. [...]

Photos by G Peter Moren of Peter Bjorn and John My birthday celebration has officially kicked off by seeing one of my favorite bands, Peter Bjorn and John. The Swedish trio played a sold out show at New York's Bowery Ballroom on September 16, 2011. The show was part of the band's "All You Can Eat" tour and week long residency in New York and it was great! The night began at 9 pm with the electronic duo Niki and the Dove. At 10 pm, the Japanese [...]
![YOUTH LAGOON, PETER BJORN AND JOHN, THE DODOS [SUGGESTED NYC CONCERTS]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3714994_lg.jpg)
I know I say this every week, but seriously everyone, this might be one of the best weeks of live music here in NYC in recent history. We have The Dodos , Cut Copy , Young Man , and Youth Lagoon in town plus multiple shows from Peter Bjorn and John . Enjoy the warm weather early in the week and then Fall-like conditions towards the weekend, and, of course, enjoy yourself some great live music! The Dodos , The Luyas @ Music Hall of [...]

One of the best things to come out of the arrival of Jay-Z and Kanye West's "Otis" , besides the gleeful listening experience of hearing the two rap titans flex their big willie muscle atop the awesomely ridiculous Otis sample and the equally infectious visuals from one of the most "funnest" big-budget hip hop videos we've seen in a long time, is realizing how many young kids took to the Internetz upon the song's initial emergence to seek out the sample source and ended up being introduced to arguably one of the greatest soul records of all [...]

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 9 Though the members of Broken Social Scene resist the term "super-group," they're the closest thing contemporary indie-rock has to a Traveling Wilburys-type meeting of the minds. Founded and driven by Kevin Drew, Broken Social Scene has at various times included Feist, Amy Millan (of Stars), and Emily Haines and James Shaw (of Metric)—part of an ever shrinking and expanding line-up. The band has had incarnations both as an intimate quartet and as a stage-filling 19-member troupe. Broken Social Scene's latest album, 20102s Forgiveness Rock Record , continues the tradition built by previous [...]
The AV Club has done it again: this time they've got Peter, Bjorn and John covering Otis Redding's "Try a Little Tenderness." After a short conversation about watching old Stax Revue videos, PB&J turned out a great cover of this classic track. Check out Peter, Bjorn and John's cover of "Try a Little Tenderness"
Peter Bjorn and John cover Otis Redding for The Onion AV Club as part of their mostly-awful "Undercover" series: http://www.avclub.com/articles /peter-bjorn-and-john-cover-tr y-a-little-tenderness,53056/

We've recently collectively been re-exposed to Otis Redding's classic "Try A Little Tenderness" thanks to Jay-Z and Kanye's sampling on "Otis," which is maybe why Swedes Peter Bjorn and John have decided to cover the song on the latest episode of AV Undercover . You won't find any song-chopping or rapping here, but you will find a lot of fun. Watch below.
