Black Cab Sessions is a great tv show in the UK that features musicians performing in the back seat of a moving taxi. It's coming to the US soon, too!

Black Cab Sessions celebrated its 100th taping and featured Bonnie 'Prince' Billy for two performances: the light-hearted "Coconuts" and the more somber "Black Captain." Black Can Sessions always bring out a different side of artists. It introduced artists like Holly Miranda to us and now gives us this quaint little performance from Feist. As the mixed reviews on Feist 's latest Lp ' Metals ' continue to surface, we've believe it's her strongest work to date. Watch as Leslie performs a ' Black Cab Sessions' version of 'Undiscovered First' which is also a favorite of ours from the album.

When we last checked in with Lafayette, LA-based bust-out twee pop troupe GIVERS earlier this summer, they had just delivered a stunningly recorded collection of fully realized indie epics in the form of their debut album In Ligh t . And although we have a pretty strong aversion to " Best of The Year... So Far " lists, getting sandwiched between Tune-Yards and Radiohead in any sort of discussion is certainly something to get excited about. Earlier this month, we posted the trailer for the Black Cab Sessions ' tour through the USA, which included a stop in Philadelphia and recording sessions with several local acts. The Philly-centric part of the trailer specifically lists performances by Freeway, Spank Rock, Meg Baird, Kyp Malone, Plastic Little, and Reading Rainbow; back when they were here last November , we noted that they had recorded with Grandchildren as well. The War on Drugs visited with Reverb's Mile Marker session (you can listen/download the session over here ) to lay down an impressive small sample for fans. The good news is that they'll be back October 30 over at Hi-Dive .
