Weird shit happens in alleys. Be careful.
Has your GPS ever led you astray? Garmin really should develop something diverting you from rough neighborhoods. Unfortunately for the couple in the new video for Black Moth Super Rainbow's "Windshield Smasher", the first single off their upcoming Cobra Juicy, a masked gang takes them hostage and forces them into brushing their teeth, cutting [...]
Some new visuals for the new Black Moth Super Rainbow single, "Windshield Smasher." This is definitely one of the more entertaining videos I've seen this year, and that's mostly due to its absurdity. A unsuspecting couple runs up on a group of BMSR mask-wearing baddies who torture them when the couple realities against the group robbing their vehicle. The "torture" is where things get hilarious. Head dunking and forced cake consumption are among the handful of things the group does to put the couple through hell. Their methods are odd, but effective, I'm sure. BMSR's next [...]

Should have asked for directions.

Black Moth Super Rainbow “Windshield Smasher” Oh man, if the masked people in this video were in Seattle, they'd be busy for years. "Windshield Smasher" is directed by Bo Mirosseni and is off Black Moth Super Rainbow's upcoming album Cobra Juicy, due out October 23rd. If you like Black Moth Super Rainbow's music you should check out their Kickstarter . -Alex [...]
At first, it seems like director Bo Mirosseni is taking a literal approach to Pittsburgh synth screwballs Black Moth Super Rainbow’s "Windshield Smasher." When the bat-wielding menaces show up in their terrifying orange masks, however, ... read more

If you ever find yourself lost in the city, tucked away in some cramped alley, you'd better pray you're not a character in Black Moth Super Rainbow' s music video for "Windshield Smasher" . Otherwise, all sorts of awful, inhumane things will befall you as quickly as the masked goons can smash your windshield and drag you into the road. Sure, the band and their hooligans won't jack your ride or murder your girlfriend, but think about having your face stuffed with cake or walking through life with a dumb beard. The [...]

Above is the new music video from Black Moth Super Rainbow for the song "Born On A Day The Sun Didn't Rise" from their 2009 album Eating Us . About the video, the band/director had the following to say: "...a day in the life of a besuited fellow whose big thrills in life are practicing good dental hygiene and toasting hot dogs. With a big day ahead, he's recruited the friendly girls from next door to give him a hand. Lucky for him, the girls know just what it takes to put a smile on [...]

Yeah, we love Why?, and yeah, we love Black Moth Super Rainbow. The only thing that would really make this week a bit more rad is if Animal Collective released a new live tune or remix. Black Moth Super Rainbow have exposed their Grindhouse vid for "Twin Of Myself." If you caught the group live (or will be in the near future) then you'll recognize the latter half from their projected visuals. Peep that bloody mess above. Remember when we interviewed Tobacco ? Black Moth Super Rainbow - Twin of Myself [...]
Second half of the video gets a bit weird Taken from the album Eating Us , Directed by Team Tobaxxxo
I was just thinking that I haven't seen enough music videos involving creepy, sketchy characters and sharp objects. This particular one comes from the anonymous psychtronica act Black Moth Super Rainbow. Their latest LP is Eating Us, if you haven't heard. Speaking of eating, if this video was going to take the "grindhouse" approach, it could have used a bit of cannibalism. Next time, guys. The vid

Here we go now. The Pittsburgh, PA electronic-melodic-voice-disto rting-did-I-say-electronic? miasma of sound is coming around. The Black Moth Super Rainbow is full of happy, shiny people in a mesmerizing way. Some may say "psychedelic" or "I had a lava lamp like that once." Think Flaming Lips or Beck if he had more of a band or a faster-paced Deerhunter. Some may say it's like the lightbulb that won't stop flickering and renders all watchers powerless under its spell. Or maybe they're like when a fire alarm won't stop and everyone eventually becomes use to it and a dance party [...]

Psych-pop group Black Moth Super Rainbow bring their hazy, vocoder-heavy rock style back again with Eating Us , the follow-up to 2007's bizarre folk album, Dandelion Gum . The band is known not only for their musical uniqueness but also for their eccentric performances and stage names (Power Pill Fist, Father Hummingbird, etc) which add another level to the group's strange mystique. It's not all just fancy tricks and gimmicks, however, BMSR create some truly interesting and compelling music and while Eating Us may not impress as thoroughly as their earlier work, it contains some [...]

If you've ever been curious on the topic of transcending space and time then I have a few recommendations I'd like to share: 1) read Stephan Hawking's A Brief History Of Time 2) watch Donnie Darko 3) wikipedia Back To The Future and familiarize yourself with every time paradox in the film, then think about how these are each relevant to Lost . Before you head off and do any of these, I recommend checking out the new Black Moth Super Rainbow video for "Dark Bubbles." Created over the course of [...]
