Bloc Party: Concert Review, Interview & Photos!

Bloc Party: Concert Review, Interview & Photos! This was a day I had been anticipating for years, and it finally happened. I finally saw Bloc Party! We headed downtown on Tuesday for their session at Sugar Beach, and I have to admit, the anxiety completely kicked in. They played two of their songs off their latest album Four , including  Truth and Day Four . Each were gorgeous with their swaying melodies, and Kele's voice really shined. I was able to get some stellar photos of their performance, so check them out here ! After they played the two tracks, I [...]

ALBUM REVIEW: “Four” by Bloc Party

Listening to Bloc Party's Four is like sitting through a two hour film only to realize that all of the funniest parts were shown in the thirty-second preview.

Bloc Party – Day Four

Apologies in advance for abandoning you all this week. EB and I vacation in Maine for a week every year, and it's tough to keep the posts coming when you're shredding barrels everyday. That's neither here nor there. What's important is that Bloc Party just released another track off their upcoming album Four. To be honest, the sound of "Day Four" is the Bloc Party that I fell in love with years ago. "Octopus" is cool and all, but this is the type of Bloc Party that I keep coming back to. Four is slated to hit stores on 8/21. Tweet

Bloc Party - Day Four

Bloc Party - Day Four Bloc Party are back with their second listen from their upcoming album Four. We already got to hear 'Octopus' and now we get to hear new track 'Day Four' which brings to mind the bands earlier days. The song deserves your time while listening and it is one of those songs that you will reach for the repeat button, as it builds with each listen. The new album Four will be released on August 21st via Frenchkiss Records .

“Day Four”, nuevo tema de Bloc Party

Bloc Party – Day Four

Bloc Party – Day Four Were back with another track from up and coming indie group Bloc Party . They are a four man band from London comprised of Kele Okereke, Russell Lissack, Gordon Moakes and Matt Tong. Their newest song is called Day Four , but were giving it to you day one. It starts off with their unique vocals paired with a bouncy guitar bass line and a series of airy subtle violins. Then suddenly it breaks off into an instrumental dream world. This is a song like none other. I'm growing to love theses guys. They are very talented. You [...]

Listen: Bloc Party – Day Four

Listen: Bloc Party – Day Four Earlier in the month we gave you the come back track from indie-disco kings pins Bloc Party, and now we have another new one for you. 'Day Four' is the second single to be taken from the soon-to-be-released Four , their first album since 20082s Intimacy . It's a far more thoughtful, melancholic effort than Octopus was, drifting into the 'So Here We Are' territory of yester year, except tinged with more sunlight than they previously dabbled in. It's very pretty. Listen below.

Hear A New Bloc Party Track – ‘Day Four’

Bloc Party - Octopus
After the weird Bloc Party-trying-to-remember-how-t o-be-Bloc-Party track 'Octopus' earlier this month, it's nice to hear them sounding a little healthier with 'Day Four'. It's a slow-burner with no obvious chorus, but sounds like it would fit in nicely on Weekend In The City; at one stage Kele even sings: "The city [Read more]

Ouça: Bloc Party – Day 4

Listen: Bloc Party – Day Four

Listen: Bloc Party – Day Four After their last album Intimacy was met with only a scant amount of praise, there were a lot of people who were skeptical going into this new album and whether Bloc Party could rekindle their flame of old. After their first track "Octopus" dropped, however, the excitement around the track was huge. New fans were made, old fans were back in the game, and die-hard fans were overjoyed. Today they gave us "Day Four" , the second new track [...]
