One of MS MR 's (and my) favorite bands Bloc Party did a remix of "Fantasy." Bloc Party transforms the original sweeping indie rock jam into an electro club-ready tune. Don't forget to see MS MR on tour supporting Bastille in the UK and Jessie Ware in the U.S. - all dates here . Stream below and download for free via MS MR's Facebook page . Ever wonder what it would sound like if Bloc Party started to rock like they were produced by Josh Homme? Neither did I until I got to the album closer for their new release Four . The track isn't produced by the QOTSA frontman, but it has that much guitar power to draw the comparison. This is just one of the many highlights on the band's fourth studio effort. Go purchase Four . Forget about what I said about Slaughterhouse. This is where your duckets should be going. Don't believe me? Check out another gem called [...]

In late 2010, Kele Okereke, Russell Lissack, Gordon Moakes and Matt Tong went into the studio. The result is 'Four' - the fourth album by Bloc Party, greater than the sum of its four parts. The album will be released on the 20th of August but you can listen to the album in its entirety exclusively before it's release. Also Bloc Party have released their new mobile app. The app is free and available for iPhone now, and will be available for Android in the coming days. [...]

Here is another leaked track from Four , the upcoming album from Bloc Party . I'm still knockin' "Octopus" heavy, but think I can make some room for "Day Four" in my daily playlist. I can't wait to hear this full album. Kele and company never disappoint. Gotta pay for the MP3 download, but it's worth it. Support good music.

Recovered from your Friday night yet? Well if not, hit play on this great sounding cut from Bloc Party which is set to feature on their forthcoming album, Four . The track is titled "Day Four" and is a mid-tempo jam seeing the band back on form not that they were ever off it. It's just nice to have them back after so long. The track however is a little different from " Octopus " which we heard at the start of the month. Four is set for release on [...]
![[Listen] Bloc Party - "Octopus" (RAC Remix)](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4394601_lg.jpg)
RAC has a knack for taking songs with seemingly non-pop veneers and exposing the catchy, hook-laden layer beneath, and he has done just that for Bloc Party 's frantic post-punk track " Octopus ". The result is a catchy-as-hell remix that deserves a listen, if not several more. Check it out below.
When we first posted "Octopus" we mentioned how there was a huge pop tune buried under Bloc Party 's post-punk veneer, and now we have conclusive proof. Leave it to RAC to expose the song's earworm worthy hooks. Bloc Party's Four is out August 21st. Read more articles like " Bloc Party: "Octopus" (RAC Remix) " on Pretty Much Amazing . Tweet Buy the album from Amazon - Vinyl / MP3 / CD There's something in my genes that loves percussion at a deep and primal level. I can't explain it much further than this: I remember my dad drumming along on the steering wheel to anything he was listening to. He never sang or hummed along to the melodies, just drummed it out. Also, my younger brother taught himself [...]

Tweet Man, how much do you envy Zane Lowe? I envy him quite a lot. Tonight he debuted the first single from Kasabian 's forthcoming album "Velociraptor!" - as you do. (Yes, not only is the album named after the widely-acknowledged Most Epic Dinosaur; it also includes an exclamation mark. That's how you know it's good.) We've already had a taste of what's to come in the form of "Switchblade Smiles" , which I was unsure about. The drums sounded like Oasis [...]
![[Ones To Watch] – Introducing – The Royalty](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3593489_lg.jpg)
Tweet A quick update on the music news for the week before I get started: The Righteous Brothers ' cover of "Unchained Melody" is on jukeboxes everywhere; anticipation for The Beatles ' up-coming album "Help!" is reaching fever pitch; and The Ronettes ' latest, "Is This What I Get For Loving You?", has flopped, rather embarrassingly. That's right: it's 1965. Relax, you've not really gone back in time. But there are moments on El Paso-fivesome The Royalty 's self-titled debut [...]
