In Bloc Party 's new video for Four cut "Kettling," children's schoolyard games are given a dark edge, which is matched by the clip's surprising ending. The track, just like the album is a spiky, punky, aural assault and the energy and aggression of Bloc Party's music is certainly reflected in this video. "Kettling" is released as a single November 12th, Four is out now.

Earlier this year, Bloc Party came off of hiatus, reassembling to release the new album Four . Director James Lees put together the new video for their post-hardcore clanger "Kettling," and it's a lyrical but brutal vision of ornery little-bastard kids and a playground game that spins out of control. Bloc Party have released the official accompaniment to the track "Kettling" which features on the brilliant recent album, Four . The video may make you yearn for a simpler time, a time when all you had to worry about was what your Mum would be making you for tea when you got home. The days of Primary school and the countdown to the end of a class and the fun that could be had on the playground. I seriously miss those days. Although things do get a little rough in the video.

One of my favorite singles of the year, "Pascal Cavalier" , came from Aussie synth rockers Northeast Party House .  Their similarities to Bloc Party are amazingly uncanny.  Both groups slam your face with soulful vocals, heavy drums and a steady drip of catchy hooks. Last week the band released a new single/video, "Stand Tall" , off their upcoming debut album.  It is an awesome track that shows a more serious side to the band, because let's face it, life isn't always about partying in [...]

Here's an absolutly beautiful rendition of the track "Truth" from the super-impressive new Bloc Party album Four . The band paid a visit to the Zane Lowe show on BBC Radio 1 . Last week in the madness of a festival weekend we let this slip through the net. Bloc Party visited Zane Lowe to perform some tracks from their brilliant new album, Four . Up above you can enjoy an acoustic version of "Truth" and if you jump over to the BBC website you can enjoy renditions of "Octopus" and "Team A" too. Four is out now and I highly recommend you pick it up.

One of the highlights of this year's Lollapalooza was a blistering set from the recently resurgent Bloc Party . They put on a great show, leaning heavily on crowd favorites from past albums while proving that the new material from the upcoming Four  holds its own alongside their now-classics. However, even with the crowd belting along to "This Modern Love" and "Helicopter," the biggest singalong may have come when Kele and co. appropriated Rihanna's "We Found Love" as an intro to their 2007 single, "Flux." It was beautiful.

Earlier in the month we gave you the come back track from indie-disco kings pins Bloc Party, and now we have another new one for you. 'Day Four' is the second single to be taken from the soon-to-be-released Four , their first album since 20082s Intimacy . It's a far more thoughtful, melancholic effort than Octopus was, drifting into the 'So Here We Are' territory of yester year, except tinged with more sunlight than they previously dabbled in.
