SBTRKT and Sampha made an appearance at the BBC Live Lounge recently and included this soulful and heated version of Friendly Fires' "Blue Cassette" as part of their set. One of our favorite producers, SBTRKT , who really broke through into the music world's consciousness with last year's self-titled debut album, popped down to the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge the other day, and played a couple of songs with frequent collaborator, and live show partner Sampha. Those lucky enough to catch BBC Radio 12s Live Lounge on the 6th would have been treated to SBTRKT (aka Aaron Jerome) covering Friendly Fires "Blue Cassette". In an ultimately well perceived cover,  Aaron completely owns his version of the ever-popular single from the energetic Friendly Fires. SBTRKT strolled to Abbey Road studios to lay a new track for Radio 1 host Annie Mack earlier today. Supposedly SBTRKT is in the studio working on a new album and he'll have Friendly Fires vocalist Ed Macfarlane on one of the tracks. There better be lots of Sampha too!
