The sixth edition of the quarterly electronic bass festival 'Bass Camp' has been announced and will cover Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, and Pune from Feb 9. Sunburn 2011 is over but the party continues with the Sunburn Hangover tour which will be headlined by UK dance/trance music producer Michael Woods. Woods has been mixing tracks since 2000 when his debut single 'Warrior' topped UK dance charts and has gone on to become a successful producer as well. Mumbai alt rock band Split have completed work on their debut album Counting Perfume (they announced the name of the album a couple of months ago, more details here ). Wednesday, January 18 saw the launch of Sidd Coutto 's new project, Punk Ass Orifus. The Early Set - Sid and Arman Siddharth Basrur (of Goddess Gagged and Bones for Bertie ) performed alongside his fellow Gagged member Arman on guitars, with their new duo, Things That Fly. Basrur shed his usual prog-metal avatar to croon/scream acoustic covers of Adele's 'Rolling in the Deep', Fink's 'Pretty Little Things', along with a stripped-down version of a Goddess Gagged's song 'Visionary'. Pop rock act Goldspot make the trip to India from Los Angeles this month for another tour of India. The year 2012 sees Workshop reunite and play a gig at Blue Frog, Mumbai. The band is a project of Sahil Makhija aka Demonstealer (of Demonic Resurrection fame) and it disbanded earlier this year when bassist Riju Dasgupta (of Albatross ) quit the band (more details on that here ).
