The Rosebuds, who are opening for Bon Iver at the Tower Theatre in August, have released a new album today, Loud Planes Fly Low . The Rosebuds hail from Raleigh, North Carolina and play indie/folk-pop full of interlacing male-female vocals (courtesy of founders Kelly Crisp and Ivan Howard) and infectious choruses. Lead single “Woods” is an indie-rock jam with Howard singing lead (and sounding oddly like Ryan Adams) over plunking keyboards and rolling drums. Justin Vernon of Bon Iver publicly unveiled the news that he will release a new ten-song album this coming June. We had a chance to catch up with him at SXSW, where he was performing with Gayngs and verified that there will be a tour following, starting in July.
