This week, London three-piece Daughter released their mesmeric debut album, If You Leave . To celebrate, the trio popped in to BBC Radio 1 on Wednesday night to perform a jaw-dropping session excusively for Zane Lowe. It included this: a gorgeous, slow-burning mix up of Bon Iver's 'Perth' and Hot Chip's 'Ready For The Floor'. Although completely contrasting in their original formats, the group transform them into one continous torch song. Utterly, utterly beautiful. Listen and download below. Alex Collier is a 25-year-old from Charleston, South Carolina who plays pop covers on a church organ with the Jingle Punks Orchestra. As you may know, Bon Iver's Justin Vernon is a pitchman for Bushmill's whiskey . His latest adventure in product design comes in the form of this guitar, an instrument designed by Vernon, executed by Eau Claire, WI luthier Gordy Bishoff (Les Paul is from Waukesha, WI, just saying) and made from barrels of Bushmills booze. A song, and album, which has been criticized as generally underwhelming; for taking a step back into the 80’s, with nothing more creative than just another Karate Kid-type formula. The latest self-directed video (with Dan Huiting) from Bon Iver must've caught Justin Vernon in the midst of an Alphaville phase. Both the song and the content have heavy sentimental '80s notes. In fact, if you're bored, turn on the picture for this video while muting the sound, and then crank up the audio for Forever Young . It's a dead ringer in the best way.

It's the story of otherworldly love: think part Fern Gulley, part Avatar.  Bon Iver guitarist Mike Noyce stars in it, as one of the two lovers and if you make it through to the end, you get a few glimpses of the band, shining in bright light jamming out on some saxophone solos.
