This was a great, great week for music videos. And for some reason, a pattern emerged. To some extent, every one of the videos below is a sumptuous, richly produced vision of things that don't make any sense at all. Fresh of his recent Grammy victories (much to the dismay of most of America ),  ATG-darling Bon Iver are back with the visually stunning new video for "Towers," the standout track from Justin Vernon's self-titled sophomore effort. The video, shot and directed by Nabil Elderkin, follows a weathered old man who sets out to built a tower, travelling across environmentally-protected lands in Washington state. Nabil Elderkin, the director responsible for Bon Iver ’s ‘Holocene’ video , has turned his hand to the visuals for forthcoming single ‘Towers’. Filmed in Washington state, the beautiful footage follows an old, bearded man from his cabin through sun-dappled woods onto the shore and into a small rowing boat. The perfunctory Bon Iver Music Video post:  "Towers" is one of my favorites.  That said, I'm not sure if anyone else has this problem, some of the songs on the record tend to blend together for me.  But with this video beautifully contextualizing the entirety of "Towers" there is now no way of forgetting where it begins and ends.

Anyways, "Towers" is the latest single off of Bon Iver , the clip was directed by NABIL and it has some classic Justin Vernon imagery. Make sure to stick around for the end, it's sad.
