![[Introducing] – Icky Doome](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3992025_lg.jpg)
Tweet Do you have a sub-woofer? You may want to be careful. Icky Doome 's beats are as deep and dark as a treacle sink-hole, and if you don't watch out you might just get sucked in. Still, it happened to me, and it's not such a bad experience. In fact, other than pissing off your neighbours by shaking their favourite toy dog portrait off the wall (Did this actually happen to me? Maybe.), it's pretty great. Icky is [...]

As a precursor to our impending year-end list, we've asked some of our favorite artists to select their five favorite releases of 2009. Bonnie Baxter is one of our most beloved discoveries. Just less than a year ago she was performing with her awesome husband Nicos, under her real name. As we became a fan of their recordings, she threw us for a loop. Bonnie reinvented herself solo as Shadowbox, a dance oriented act that simultaneously conjures early Madonnna and Kate Bush. This was a far cry from the mostly acoustic Bonnie Baxter [...]

Bonnie Baxter wowed the crowd at our first showcase back in June. Under her new guise as Shadowbox, Bonnie creates an ambient world with her haunting, electro sound. Tonight Bonnie is certain to grab hold of a new fanbase, as she performs as Shadowbox . Her new husband Nicos shouldn't feel ashamed. His girl is the hottest thing this side of the East River. Come out tonight and catch Bonnie's set at 10:20PM at Tandem. You will not regret it.

Well this is going to be interesting! Sigmund Droid, Bonnie Baxter, and others will be playing acoustic sets at Northeast Kingdom. I'm super curious to hear what Sigmund Droid sounds like acoustic... I mean it's just drum and bass. I have an acoustic bass and it's pretty much useless unless it's plugged in. Also, Jeremy J will be DJing.Toilet Records presents night of music with no electricity

(photo by Nick Rhodes ) Too often I consider things until their due's got interest and I've lost mine, because I'm not all that smart or perceptive and have this damned urge to squeeze exactly the right stuff out of a moment or song or whatever. (I'm not saying I'm considerate, I'm saying I'm a considerer.) So I dilly over things until my internal Earth screeches time snaps nothing ever ever happens OR everything gets blurted out in ridiculous compensational quantity long after I've thought the urgency right off it. Tossing a cold stone [...]

-photo by Phoebe Waterson Bonnie Baxter , the Bushwick duo made up of Miss Baxter herself (vocals, guitars, keys) and multi-instrumentalist Nicos Kennedy (guitars, keys, noise), were joined by video artist Christina Medina for a hypnotic and riveting performance at the Northeast Kingdom Lounge on Sunday night. With a short, but intense set, Bonnie Baxter impressed the intimate crowd at NK Lounge with a menagerie of hallucinatory guitars, wafting vocals and experimental beats. Baxter's crystalline voice has a distinctive, melancholy quality that seamlessly pulls you into the band's haunting [...]
