Last week we told you about Vice/Marshall's third series of On The Road was about Jesse Hughes from the Eagles of Death Metal investigating the dark history of Black Sabbath and the very roots of heavy metal - well, today's the day that the first episode makes its way online. You can (and should) check it out after the jump. Episode 1 sees Jesse still in Los Angeles, where he catches up with Bill Ward - founder member of Black Sabbath, and all-round metal hero - to discuss what the early days were like [...]
We've told you about Vice/Marshall's On The Road series and why you need it in your life before - well, it's back for a third series, and this time Jesse Hughes from the Eagles of Death Metal is going back to the very roots of heavy metal and heading out on a pilgrimage to uncover the dirty roots of the band that arguably started it all: Black Sabbath. Rather than insult your intelligence by re-writing the press blah-blah that Vice sent us and passing it off as our own work, here's the synopsis of [...]

Every once in a while I meet someone who casually mentions that music videos are dead and I'm always shocked. Music videos have never been more alive and vibrant than they are now in the age of video democracy online. This post is a celebration of the creative spirit that fights every day to set great songs to even better visuals. You guys are my heroes. Watch the videos in a countdown stye playlist below or continue on to catch them embedded 1-by-1 with my woefully minimal commentary. [...]

Género: Alternative. Martes trece. [...]
![[LP] Boots Electric – HONKEY KONG (w/ “I Love You All The Thyme”)](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3912033_lg.jpg)
i would beg if i thought it would make you stay ♫ Boots Electric - I Love You All The Thyme I just can't get into the Eagles Of Death Metal frontman's solo project as Boots Electric. The album was certainly named appropriately but I guess Honkey Kong is just not my genre. I need more balls in my guitar shredding! Oddly enough its the LP's most neutered track that I'm actually digging. "I Love You All The Time" is perfectly bouncy in its sappy love confessions. Its [...]
Boots Electric hit the MTIB inbox with a picture of a mustached man, riding a child's bike, holding a pink assault rifle- I immediately knew who it was.Jesse Hughes, of solid-gold producing, power-rock outfit Eagles of Death Metal, is cranking out new music under the Boots Electric moniker, with a new album: Honkey Kong. The hooks are still there, the quirk is still there, and Hughes personality

Boots Electric has just released a video for “Complexity,” off latest album Honkey Kong (Dangerbird). The clip features frontman Jesse Hughes surrounded by half-dressed girls, kaleidoscope views and a whole lot of shaking it around. Says Hughes of the video, “"It was our attempt at remembering the future and that it’s easier to look at [...]

I finally had a chance to give Honkey Kong a thorough listen and while it's not the greatest thing I've ever heard, I am glad that the first single doesn't set the tone for the whole album. "I Love You All The Thyme" is some Boots Electric material that should be heard by everyone. "Boots Electric Theme" was a little cheese in my opinion, but the video saved me from dismissing it all together. This is more of a fitting sound for Jesse The Devil going solo. It has some Eagles sound, but different enough for [...]

Filed under: News , Exclusive , New Music Malia James | AXELLE, BAUER-GRIFFIN.COM When Eagles of Death Metal frontman Jesse Hughes decided to take his Boots Electric solo project on the road he realized he had a problem. "I only wrote 10 songs for the Boots Electric album ['Honkey Kong'] and I've got to play longer sets," Hughes tells Spinner. "So I'm covering Amy Winehouse and Olivia [...]
