I've been returning back to Bosco's Let Go of Me EP time and time again since its release back in March. How can you not love the gorgeous, soulful vocals that Brittany Bosco lets out over those hauntingly warm instrumentals? I have yet to see BOSCO live so I've been curious as to how well they pull of their considerably lush sound in that setting. Artists that inject their music with synths, electronics and other layers often have difficulty translating from studio to stage, so I'm glad to see that the group loses none of their driving propulsiveness and ethereal shimmer when they are performing. Bosco Delrey is a member of Diplo's Mad Decent label that has popped up on rubyhornet from time to time. He gets more shine today after releasing a Mike D. remix of his record, "My My Race Car". I popped into Apache Cafe last Friday to catch Bosco before she absconded for her spring tour in support of her band's Let Go Of Me EP release. Opening for the incomparable Rahbi , Bosco breezily liberated a short set of scintillating, lush numbers on the expectant crowd. In support of the lovely three-song Let Go of Me EP released in March, BOSCO has announced a string of spring tour dates beginning with a May 11 stop at the Apache Cafe right here in town. The eleven day trek will take the band up the East Coast and then over to Chicago and Cleveland and will include several in-studio radio sessions as well as a performance at the Tom Tom Founders Festival in Charlottesville, VA.
