I was looking super forward to Simian Mobile Disco (James Ford and Jas Shaw's) new release, Temporary Pleasure , since the acclaimed Attack Decay Sustain Release infected electronic enthusiasts two years ago. Staying within familiar formulas, their first release "10 000 Horses Can't Be Wrong" reminded me a lot of "Sleep Deprivation", a track made for Ibiza . With songs like "Girls", "Loves Souvenir", "Vegas", "This is the Industry"...(I would list the ICD entire track list), Harris gave 2007/8 a reason to Party Hard. I have been in love with Frankmusik ever since I heard his mini EPs In Step and 3 Little Words which came out some time last year. Junior Boys are a Canadian indie electronic pop band from Hamilton, Ontario consisting of Jeremy Greenspan and Matt Didemus. They've released Last Exit back in 2004 and the critically acclaimed, and IMO, one of the best Canadian albums of the decade, So This is Goodbye in 2006. Their sound is smooth, and ambient. It's elegant rich pop and refurbished synths. Greenspan's voice lulls you into a conscious sleep, it's a voice that sooths the complexities of your day. It's a voice for those late nights.
