Filed under: Concerts and Tours , News , Exclusive Sublime drummer Bud Gaugh understands those fans who dismiss Sublime With Rome, the revamped lineup of the trio featuring original members Gaugh and Eric Wilson with new singer Rome Ramirez . Surprisingly, Gaugh was initially opposed to the idea as well. "When Eric first came out I was pretty much against the whole thing because my take is once you change a member of the band, the band is changed," Gaugh tells Spinner. In addition [...]

Sometimes it's nice to see the forces of good defeat the dark side. It doesn't happen often, so when it does, a celebration is in order. What's the occasion? Well, remember when we reported , last week, that the family of Bradley Nowell has taken legal action to prevent his Sublime bandmates from reuniting under the group's original name? Well, it looks like Nowell's estate is on the right side of the law: A Los Angeles judge has granted a preliminary injunction preventing Eric Wilson, Bud Gaugh and new frontman Rome Ramirez from calling themselves [...]

[ This guy is Sublime's new singer? Nah ... ] Hey folks, I'm still in the middle of transferring this blog over to WordPress, but I'm going to try and find time to post at least twice a day until the transition is complete. It's hard WORK though, homie! The only thing keeping me going is the constant stream of boring music news I can retread. Seriously though, Sublime ended years ago when Bradley Nowell passed away, right? [...]

The band's original singer, Bradley Nowell, died of a heroin overdose in 1996. [...]

I think I might make this whole "flashback friday" idea a regular thing. It's fun. If you don't like it don't read on Fridays. Ha. If you can't remember the lyrics to "What I got", I'm afraid we can't be friends. I realized that it has been 13 years (as of May 25th) since Sublime lead singer Bradley Nowell died of a heroin overdose. Sublime was probably my absolute FAVORITE band from when they release the "What I Got" single until at least through 1998....I mean they're still up there now, but back then I was a little [...]
