Directed by Da Visionaryz & Brandon "N2ition" Riley Never one to follow trends or dull concepts, Halsted drops off his latest video for the first single off The Dark Room project. The clip centers around Mikk and his 2011 version of the Drop Squad, taking aim at the dregs of society . Throughout his career, Mikk has asked the people what they want: "the G or the Teacher", and here you get a lottle of both. An instant classic from Da Visionaryz, N2ition, Mikk and No I.D. A lot of big things [...]
Directed by Brandon "N2ition" Riley. Track produced by Nascent & QB. Filmed in the "Heidelberg Project" area of Detroit, Lungz and the Glacier City camp give you the first video off Lungz' forthcoming project with Don Cannon, Dream Killaz. His mixtape with the Cannon is set to drop this Spring and is already shaping up to be even more monstrous than his last release (get it?) Partake in this grimey affair.

Dark alleys, seedy women and sweltering nightclubs all fit into Mikkey Halsted and N2ition’s vision of ‘20s Chicago, not to mention the most dapper version of gritty Gibbs we’ve seen. As always, Mikkey preys on originality, this time by giving us a violent, sepia-colored glimpse into the Windy’s shady past, scored by Yeezy’s top comrade, No I.D. It’s only right that a video wrought with visuals of historic Chicago coincide with Halsted’s release of The Dark Room . Like most Chicagoan’s, the man has always been deeply ingrained in [...]

This past weekend, during the mayhem of WGCI's Big Jam festivities, Twista and Lloyd found some time to get together to film a video treatment for Twista's "Bad Girl", which is featured on his latest release The Perfect Storm (in stores now). For such a heavy task, GMG recruited the killer combo of Brandon "N2ition" Riley and Da Visionaryz to handle directing duties. Noyz (of Da Visionaryz) is referring to this newly formed union as the White Men Can't Jump/Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson (minus the weed and tax evasion) of hip-hop videos. All jokes aside, this clip [...]
Directed by Brandon "N2ition" Riley. Track produced by No I.D. You heard the song earlier today, no experience the full effect with the visual. The iTunes link for The Dark Room will be available momentarily, but if you cannot wait, you can purchase it here in the meantime. We all remember Def Poetry and the spoken-word geniuses that graced its dimly lit stage. Assonance experts like Black Ice and zealous storytellers like Lemon invigorated us, infusing purpose into every bit of spittle to leave their lips. Occasionally a rapper would appear on the show and raise our hopes of seeing them delve into a different craft, only to simply rattle off an a cappella verse from their album. There’s a fundamental difference between writing a passionate spoken-word poem and recycling a verse , people. Mikkey Halsted knows that difference. [...]

“The last thing they want to hear about is your good news/ If ain’t about them, so what? F*ck you.” It’s only right that a cat named Lungz breathes new life into an old message. The song alone oozes anger as he fires off shackles-on-my-feet analogies, implying "to hell with subtlety," and the pseudo-electric guitar courtesy SC, adds kerosene to every line. But the raw sting of the track bubbles to the surface in the hook. Lungz knows what a rut feels like and that resonates. The song by [...]
Directed by Brandon "N2ition" Riley. Track produced by SC. The crabs are everywhere out here, so keep an open eye. Lungz dedicates this one to those who like to try and pull you down when you're winning. A dope little video directed by B-Riley, co-starring Professor Pickle and shot at Ja Grill. Look for Lungz' Monster: Buried Alive to drop later this week. If you're on a mobile phone, you can view here.
Directed by Brandon "N2ition" Riley This guy Lungz is working as hard (if not harder) than anyone out here right now. Seriously. In the past few weeks he's shot like 4 videos and recorded a ton of new music. The project on deck is Monster: Buried Alive , which fittingly drops on Halloween, and features all new material from Lungz alongside some heavy hitters. Be on the lookout for more Lungz tracks and videos to drop weekly as a lead in to the project. YouTube/Mobile link after the jump...
Directed by Ike Films & Brandon "N2ition" Riley "Up & Down" could quite possibly be Chicago's biggest breakout single of 2010. It's been burning up the airwaves on WGCI and Power for months and now it finally gets a well-deserved video treatment. Hopefully, this Xcel-produced banger will gain more and more traction across the country. Congrats thus far, though.

An added bonus to yesterday's mayhem that was the L.E.P. Bogus Boys x Gucci Mane video shoot, was that BDot from Rap Radar was in town to witness the action and partake in the shoot. He was able to snag some pretty telling footage on just how big of an event this was. Check out his birds eye view and hit the jump for some addition shots courtesy of Noyz from Da Visionaryz. You can read my write up on it here.

One things for sure, two things for certain, the L.E.P. Bogus Boys ran Chicago on Labor Day 2010. I may even have to declare this date Bogus Boy Day - a new Chicago Holiday. Alongside Polar Bear LaFlare, L.E.P. hit spots all across the City to shoot the video for "Handlin' My Business", which will be featured on Don't Feed The Killaz Vol. 3 , that drops on Halloween. Da Visionaryz and Brandon "N2ition" Riley teamed up to direct this one of a kind clip, that features Gucci and Count trading bars over a Hi Tek-produced [...]
Shot by Brandon "N2ition" Riley. Edited by Julian Muller. Footage from XXL & Remy Martin's function at The Shrine a few weeks ago. Very dope show. Previously: Twista & Clipse Live at The Shrine [Audio]
YoursTruly put together a dope mini-documentary on the Gangsta Island native, Freddie Gibbs. It has Freddie in his own words, with dope footage of Fred back in Gary - which was all shot by Brandon "N2ition" Riley. FG's Str8 Killa EP drops tomorrow. Pick it up, pick it up.

Last week, I posted a few teaser pics from Mikkey Halsted's upcoming video and single, "Linen In The Summer", featuring Twista and produced by Tha Bizness. The clip, which was directed by Rico Nance, GL Joe and Brandon "N2ition" Riley is currently in the editing stages, so look for this one sooner than later. The track is crazy and has that authentic Chi-Town feel to it. Hit the jump for more pics and some behind-the-scenes footage... [...]

Yesterday, two of Chicago's finest joined forces to shoot a video for Mikkey Halsted's next single, "Linen In The Summer", produced by Tha Bizness. Mikk and Twista shot at various locations around the city including Lake Michigan and a mansion in Logan Square. The video is being directed by Brandon "N2ition" Riley, Rico Nance and GL Joe, so you know it's going to be an epic clip. Looking at some of the shots and rough footage from yesterday already has me geeked. I should have some better stills and behind the scenes footage very soon. Mikkey's [...]
Directed by Brandon "N2ition" Riley The latest visual from Lungz, this one featuring the Bighomie DUFF. Track is to be featured on Lungz' upcoming mixtape, Monster , dropping August 15th. Look for more clips from Lungz and N2ition on the way, but for now lay back and enjoy this clip. Shouts to B-Hustle!
Directed by Brandon "N2ition" Riley Big Law takes us on another ride with a split video for two tracks featured on his Law & Order Vol. 2 mixtape.

Here we have some still shots from the latest visual from Big Law. The pics are from his Brandon "N2ition" Riley-directed video for "Zoom/You're Everything". Post clips are finished and are now in the post production/editing stages. Down by law.

Seems like Freddie's been quiet for longer than usual doesn't it? While he hasn't been dropping tracks left and right, looks like he's making strides to move from "internet mixtape rapper" to more of a known figure by hitting stages in various cities and receiving opportunities like this. This Brandon "Nation 23 Riley-produced video for "The Ghetto" premieres on MTV Jams and MTV U on Friday, May 7th 2010. Pretty soon, we'll all be saying "I remember when..."
