If you're in Glasgow for a couple of nights it'd be churlish not to pay a visit to one of the iconic music venues, King Tut's Wah Wah Hut. Walking up the steps from the main bar your feet pass over the printed names of some of the big name acts who've graced it's stage. The Tolbooth Sessions is a compilation of 10 bands from in and around Stirling, London. Each of the bands recorded one track with Andy Monaghan, an established Scottish musician as the producer in the tolbooth's recording studio. As a fan of compilations, I was very excited about listening to this record and I can safely say it wasn't a disappointment. Read more..
