
In 1999, a few years before we lost bassist John "Ox" Entwistle, Neil and Pegi Young called upon The Who to perform at the annual Bridge School Benefit Concerts at Shoreline Amphitheatre. The shows took place on October 30 and 31st with The Who performing nearly identical sets each night. Last night, Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California hosted the first night of this year's Bridge School Benefit concerts . Organized by rocker Neil Young and his wife Pegi, the concert has been a Bay Area staple since 1986. Coachella promoters Goldenvoice have been working with the city of Indio on a long-term pact which will keep the festival in the California desert town through 2030. This potential deal also would give Goldenvoice the right to stage an additional two festivals besides the two Coachella weekends and the Stagecoach festival.
