Dallas Green made one of the most honest sounding albums, lyrically and musically, that I've ever heard to date. 2008's Bring Me Your Love is at times gut-wrenching, heart-breaking and soul-taking. But Dallas didn't completely go over the edge. The lyrics in "Against the Grain", track 9 off the album, don't necessarily provide any answers, but they definitely help guide us towards them. <a href=" http://soundowl.com/track/2c1u /city-and-colour-against-the-g rain" _mce_href=" http://soundowl.com/track/2c1u /city-and-colour-against-the-g rain">Download City And Colour Against The Grain</a&gt ; City And Colour Against The Grain

I haven't listened to a lot of Dallas Green / City and Colour in about 6 months. This is due in part to a self-inflicted saturation of the project in 2008 and early 2009, and in part to my discovery of Dan Mangan last year, who has fared quite admirably in satisfying my moody acoustic/folk-rock needs. However, when I heard The Girl today I was unavoidably returned to my spot on the City and Colour wagon. The track can be found on Dallas Green's second full-length solo effort Bring Me Your Love , [...]

Staying on the topic of the fast approaching Juno Awards , tonight's song comes from an artist who will be performing at the award show this Sunday. City and Colour , the solo side-project of Canadian singer/songwriter Dallas Green , will be returning to the stage where it won the award for Alternative Album of the Year in 2007. Body In a Box can be found on City and Colour's latest album Bring Me Your Love , which was released in February of 2008. The album would debut at #11 on the [...]

Another tune tonight, coming from Canadian Dallas Green 's solo acoustic-folk side-project City and Colour . On the song in question, Sleeping Sickness, the legendary Gord Downie lends his incredible vocals to the track. Up until Gord begins singing I really enjoyed the song. However, when his voice cut in I was stopped dead in my tracks. His voice completely haunts the song and turns it into an incredible piece. Sleeping Sickness appears on the second album from City and Colour Bring Me Your Love , which was released in February of 2008. [...]

City and Colour - Bring Me Your Love Verdict: Indifferent (~) City and Colour - Sensible Heart

City & Colour - Waiting City & Colour - Constant Knot City & Colour - Hello, I'm in Delaware Today, when I opened up my Myspace (evil, evil myspace), they had an advertisement for City & Colour. Seems they've started up a new section of the social networking system called 'Transmissions' which features some bands that are really under the radar, and some that aren't. (James Blunt, Nada Surf) Having fallen in love w/ Dallas Green about a [...]
