Drone, as a genre, is one only rarely associated with such salubrious surrounds as those of the Southbank Centre. Of course its dingy tendencies and industrial undertones ensure it's not entirely incongruous with the gently brutalist cement work smothered about the innards of this iconic construction, although the two don't quite make for an immediately logical fit. And as such, in what for me became an increasingly impatient wait to witness the live collaboration between two of its most eminent modern-day practitioners in Daniel Lopatin (perhaps best recognised under the guise of inscrutable Brooklyn phantom, Oneohtrix Point Never) + Montréal [...]

El próximo 25 de junio Cascine, uno de nuestros sellos favoritos, lanzará Lovely Things , el nuevo álbum del cuarteto de Brooklyn, Selebrities . Aquí está el primer sencillo "Temporary Touch". Enjoy.
Cassy Britton, one of the leading ladies in the underground world today, will be the first resident to play regularly at Brooklyn's recently opened (and much lauded) club, Output. Cassy has already been making appearances throughout the US festival circuit this year, spinning at both Ultra and Coachella as well as Movement next month, and her relevancy in the American scene is stronger than ever. She's a veteran of many of Europe's favorite clubs (not excluding Berlin's Panorama Bar), so her expertise behind the decks is certainly a welcome addition to the already well-curated bookings Output has been offering. [...]

Después de Diver , el disco que sacaron el año pasado, Lemonade regresa con su nuevo sencillo "Perfect Blue". La banda de Brooklyn estará de gira por Estados Unidos junto a John Talabot . Enjoy. ♩ Lemonade - Perfect Blue
"Those who handlin' damage control don't wish us the best luck" Jaime Meline contends atop a raggedy throwback beat on the first gem to be unearthed from El-P's newly polished escapades alongside Atlanta rap titan and human "Gatling" gun Killer Mike, as the duo combine to become Run The Jewels . And the New Yoiker ain't wrong, for Get It makes for a typically insurgent introduction to what may well transpire to prove an again propitious collaboration, as a faux rap battle rallying against the hackneyed tropes of bling, women, blah blah blah to have long since afflicted hip hop ensues [...]
I don't know if the people of Rio have caught on to this shining tribute to their city yet, but I sure as hell would love to be the one to bring it to them. I've never been, but Theo's Rio has given me a clear picture of how pleasant it must be. Every time I listen to it, it's like daydreaming back to that 19502s Rio or some Hunter S. Thompson tropic stupor. Either way, Theophilus London and his Menahan Street Band have made me dream in Rio. I can't wait for the sunny [...]

Brooklyn's Blusher released his debut album 808 & Art Shakes a couple of days back. It's an album that draws influence from both Timbaland and Brian Eno , so to call it interesting or unique would probably be a bit of an understatement. Either way, 808 & Art Shakes is definitely worth a moment of your time, hear it in full here , and stream a couple of my picks below: Turn Around by Blusher [...]
Boh! New music sent to me from a Brooklyn based rap movement called INeverRapped2BCool. This track is by INR2BC associate, gaVen heVy , and is called Crab Legs. I dig it. Real smooth hip hop. Good flow, good beat. Enjoy.

in my head it all makes sense Brooklyn's Controller are holding it down for all the rock heads out there who just like some guitar, drums, bass, and some lyrics sing along too when you are jumping in the pit. Or driving in the car. Or running in the sun. I recommend doing all 3 to "Make it Up". You will live longer and die happier. "Kicking and Screaming" is a jam too. Gett all that and one more for name-your-price at their Bandcamp. Happy Friday!

Got sent this great track "Dying to Start Again" by Brooklyn via London band Lovelife . Lovely indie pop tune that has been stuck on repeat. The track is from their upcoming EP Stateless scheduled for a June 11th release. Can't wait to hear more from them. For now they are offering this catchy tune as a free download , I'd take them up on that offer.

what once held flowers now holds ash from my two packs a day The Last Royals have been kicking around my iTunes and inbox for a few years now but it wasn't until I caught them live that I was struck with the severe error of my TLR-ignoring ways. These guys do not fuck around. Sure, I take issue with "I Hate California" but the slow jam is a good way to ease into their vibe. It gets funkier on "Crystal Vases" and gets even more rowdy when they tear up a [...]

El dúo de Brooklyn The Golden Pony remezcla el éxito del californiano Robert DeLong . Global Concepts está incluido en el álbum Just Movement , primer disco del multi-instrumentista de 27 años.

Yet another kickass three-day music and film festival is about to attract a few thousand people this weekend in Brooklyn. CBF, curated by Aaron Dessner and Bryce Dessner of The National fame, the event's moniker was borrowed from Walt Whitman’s seminal poem of the same name. The weekend bash spans several genres and features full bands, solo artists, improv artists, composers, new music ensembles, and filmmakers from the NYC music scene, putting a focus on the more artistic side of popular and emerging music. In addition to the headlining shows at BAM's Howard Gilman [...]

Lately Canada has been enticing my senses more and more; not only Peter Peter is one of my favorite artist as of late, but I've been consistently watching HGTV, but I digress. Today Canada showed me why you should never underestimate the polite ones. Le Couleur it's a Canadian band that are getting ready to release their EP. "Voyage Love", and they've honored me by letting me preview it before the release in April 30th. The 5 track French speaking EP. starts with a very intense electronic track called " [...]

![[Song of the Day]/[Video] Little Daylight – “Overdose”](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4904932_lg.jpg)
Little Daylight “Overdose” With only a handful of remixes and two singles of their own, Little Daylight is still one of my favorite bands of the year so far with their incredibly catchy and enjoyable songs. From the street raving light dance track "Overdose" to the softer more mellow peacefulness of "Name In Lights" Little Daylight can seemingly do no wrong. I for one am eagerly awaiting any future releases from the Brooklyn trio. If you would like to know more about Little Daylight you can visit [...]
