It's not like Bruce Springsteen has to learn a song about Berlin just because he's playing Berlin, but that kind of dedication and attention to detail is what makes him probably our greatest remaining stadium star. At last night's Berlin show, Springsteen busted out a cover of " When I Leave Berlin ," a song from the British folksinger Wizz Jones. The crowd's roar of recognition - or maybe just its roar at hearing its own city's name - is a heartening thing. Watch video of the cover below. Read More...

New Jersey native Bruce Springsteen was a '70s rocker who embraced the video revolution in the '80s, becoming a(n even bigger) megastar on the back of MTV heavy rotation clips for Dancing In The Dark, Born In The U.S.A. and Glory Days. The Boss is still making videos and today released a new one for the Wrecking Ball track Rocky Ground. Springsteen's first foray into hip-hop, Rocky Ground actually features a 16-bar rap delivered by gospel singer Michelle Moore and thrives from electronic drums [...]
Bruce Springsteen doesn't show up in his video for "Rocky Ground," the gospel-tinged underclass lament from his new album Wrecking Ball . Instead, the clip superimposes scrawls of the song's lyrics over images of urban desolation. It's a blunt but effective way to make sure the song's message gets across. Watch it below. Read More...

Everybody loves the Boss for his blue collar rock anthems - the kind that make you stand up in your chair, throw your fist in the air, sing along at the top of your lungs, maybe even make your feet shuffle - but there are very few songs that move me the way the slower, driving late at night number does. Glancing through YouTube, there are dozens of covers by all sorts of artists from many different genres. This morning I stumbled upon a version by Kate Tucker backed [...]
As I think many of you know, we're always busy promoting the little guy and not in the business of promoting megastars. Generally anyway. He's a bit like marmite for me, but I know a lot of you love Bruce Springsteen , keynote music speaker at SXSW this year. Below is the performance-type video for 'Death to My Hometown'. Enjoy it, if he rings your bells. I've also included his known appearances in the UK this summer, current as of today. Click [...]

Yesterday marked the second show of two-night stand at Madison Square Garden for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band . While so far this tour, The Boss has kept most of the set the same each show, there are a handful of slots in which the Jersey native will rotate in songs from his deep back catalog. Newcomers have no fear - he still plays the greatest of his hits on a nightly basis such as Dancing In The Dark, Born to Run and 10th Avenue Freeze-Out, but those Bruce fans who see dozens or hundreds of shows [...]
