The ever-wonderful Wichita Records have picked up on the hype swirling around Alabama's Katie Crutchfield - aka Waxahatchee - and will release her second LP, Cerulean Salt, on July 1st after it was initially released in North America back in early March, to widespread critical acclaim. Brother Bryan has been made available for streaming, and it's not hard to see what all the fuss is about. A bouncing bassline, secluded percussion and a vocal that positively pours with doubt, frustration and longing; it feels like the whole thing could [...]

O stream é uma cortesia do The Guardian . Enjoy !
Filed under: News , Exclusive , Music Appreciation Getty | Getty It was no less a poet than Steven Patrick Morrissey who wrote: I've come to wish you an unhappy birthday I've come to wish you an unhappy birthday 'Cause you're evil And you lie And if you should die I may feel slightly sad (But I won't cry) For the Moz birthdays [...]

Pacific Divion's latest single from the upcoming album GMB (Gabe, Michael,Bryan).

Brooklyn based roots rocker Bryan Dunn weaves tales of romance, murder mystery, ghost stories and late night drinking with catchy hooks and clever wordplay. A true storyteller, his mix of Texas Twang, Irish folk, and New York City grit can move audiences to tears with one song and get them dancing with the next. Dunn's new disc, Sweetheart of the Music Hall , is a love letter to famed NYC venue Rockwood Music Hall, and the musicians with whom he's climbed the ranks. ( Feeling Anxious ) Download SONG [...]

Photo by Dustin Downing for CHINASHOP Lorn and I wound up at this show in true YTC fashion, which means we basically had zero clue as to what we were going to see at The Roxy that night. Some of the best shows I have seen were artists I had never listened too before and Nikka Costa would fall into that category. Nikka Costa has a voice that is undeniable and she couples that with a stage presence that is rare. She commanded The Roxy and had the entire place [...]

This show was in celebration of Brad Hoss and Danny Johnson's birthdays. If you don't know who these guys are, then you need to get a clue! These two threw one killer party. The line up featured Kastle, Mr.White, Flinch, Camo UFOS and special guests. I was blown out of the water when i found out one of the secret guest was Rusko! I new he was friends with Brad and Danny but was shocked when he took the stage. He only played one song, but it was the debut of his brand new [...]
The last year has been a great one for the YTC Crew. I saw some of the coolest, most impressive shows I've EVER seen and we met TONS of cool new peeps. I didn't attend as many shows this year as I did in 2008 or 2009, but that only motivates me to make up for it in 2011! Below I have listed my Top 10 Concerts of the year. This list excludes Festivals and shows that were not reviewed on YouTellConcerts for one reason or another. Total Concerts Reviewed: 46 [...]

EPIC! Roger Waters' "The Wall" is by far the craziest and most insane show I have seen in my entire life. I was in awe the entire performance. The show featured a giant screen - "The Wall" that was built during the first half of the show. Crew members added pieces to "The Wall" periodically during the show until a giant screen that took up the width of the Staples center was constructed. The screen displayed amazing visuals and [...]

"Who is the Tom Tom Club?" Thats all I heard from everyone I pitched this show to. Come on people! Learn your history MOFOS! The Tom Tom Club is a group that was started by husband and wife team Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth, which formed in the early 80s as the couple's side project from Talking Heads. The band even preformed during Talking Head sets while on tour and can be seen preforming their hit single " Genius Of Love " in the Talking Heads documentary " Stop Making Sense ". I had [...]

I had seen The Arcade Fire a few times prior to this show, but it had been 3 years since the last time and I was very eager to see them again. This show was one of two sold-out nights at the Shrine Auditorium, a venue that does not host nearly enough concerts. The venue is prestigious and full of heritage - the perfect place for The Arcade Fire to perform. Photo by: Snug The band was on top of [...]

When The Pixies announced they would be doing a second leg on their Doolittle tour I was extremely excited, but at the same time very left off a Los Angeles date. After looking at the dates that were closest to Los Angeles, Vegas became the most logical choice. Plus, we can't deny Vegas is VEGAS!!! I had all ready seen the Pixies on their Doolittle tour two times prior to this show, but I was still very excited to see it one more time. They once again opened the set with a few [...]
This was the 3rd time we have had the privilege to see Phoenix live. The first time was at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles and it was one of the best shows I had attended in 2009 (Ep.278 - Phoenix & Metric @ The Greek) . We also caught them earlier this year at the 2010 Coachella Music and Arts Festival and were once again blown away. The anticipation to see them at the Hollywood Bowl was off the scale. ~SEE PHOENIX LIVE~ [...]

Wow! Primus at Club Nokia. I was expecting a complete and total shit show. First off, Primus is crazy. Second off, their fans are crazy. Finally, they were playing Club Nokia. In true YTC fashion, I misread the press release, and thought Primus was performing "Frizzle Fry" both of the nights they were playing Club Nokia. I was wrong. They played the album in its entirety the night before, as part of their Oddity Faire. None the less, I was excited to finally see these guys live. When we got into the [...]

With Los Angeles cracking down on "raves," or more specifically techno music in general, we were truly blessed with the Hollywood Bowl and KCRW hosting this fantastic concert. Yacht opened this show. Having seen them a few times in the past, we opted to arrive to the show a little bit late. When we arrived, Chromeo had already taken the stage and had gotten the crowd into a dance frenzy. These guys always seem to bring the party (so to speak) with fresh and funky beats. [...]

~ SEE EMPIRE OF THE SUN LIVE! ~ Once again, the YTC crew was off to see a band we had never really listened to before. The main draw on wanting to attend the Empire of the Wun concert was the fact they had some how managed to sell out 4 nights in a row at the Music Box. When we walked into the Music Box a DJ was spinning some funky beats and a chick was sitting on stage in a bikini doing absolutely nothing. Many [...]
