This show was in celebration of Brad Hoss and Danny Johnson's birthdays. If you don't know who these guys are, then you need to get a clue! These two threw one killer party. The line up featured Kastle, Mr.White, Flinch, Camo UFOS and special guests. I was blown out of the water when i found out one of the secret guest was Rusko! EPIC! Roger Waters' "The Wall" is by far the craziest and most insane show I have seen in my entire life. I was in awe the entire performance. The show featured a giant screen - "The Wall" that was built during the first half of the show. Crew members added pieces to "The Wall" periodically during the show until a giant screen that took up the width of the Staples center was constructed. I had seen The Arcade Fire a few times prior to this show, but it had been 3 years since the last time and I was very eager to see them again. This show was one of two sold-out nights at the Shrine Auditorium, a venue that does not host nearly enough concerts. When The Pixies announced they would be doing a second leg on their Doolittle tour I was extremely excited, but at the same time very left off a Los Angeles date. After looking at the dates that were closest to Los Angeles, Vegas became the most logical choice. Plus, we can't deny Vegas is VEGAS!!! This was the 3rd time we have had the privilege to see Phoenix live. The first time was at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles and it was one of the best shows I had attended in 2009 (Ep.278 - Phoenix & Metric @ The Greek) . We also caught them earlier this year at the 2010 Coachella Music and Arts Festival and were once again blown away. Wow! Primus at Club Nokia. I was expecting a complete and total shit show. First off, Primus is crazy. Second off, their fans are crazy. Finally, they were playing Club Nokia. In true YTC fashion, I misread the press release, and thought Primus was performing "Frizzle Fry" both of the nights they were playing Club Nokia. I was wrong. With Los Angeles cracking down on "raves," or more specifically techno music in general, we were truly blessed with the Hollywood Bowl and KCRW hosting this fantastic concert. Yacht opened this show. Having seen them a few times in the past, we opted to arrive to the show a little bit late. When we arrived, Chromeo had already taken the stage and had gotten the crowd into a dance frenzy.
