'Machine Gun Silhouette' is the B-Side of Jack White's upcoming single 'Love Interruption' from Third Man Records. White has described 'Blunderbuss' as... "an album I couldn't have released until now. I've put off making records under my own name for a long time but these songs feel like they could only be presented under my name. These songs were written from scratch, had nothing to do with anyone or anything else but my own expression, my own colors on my own canvas."

Born to Die Lana Del Rey After grabbing the attention of the music industry with tracks like Video Games and Born to Die , Lana Del Rey's (real name Elizabeth Grant) debut album was one of the most anticipated of the year – and it's only February! Born to Die features a unique blend of 60's pop, old Hollywood Glamour and urban beats that Del Rey herself describes as "Gangster Nancy Sinatra." While "Video Games" may have launched Lana Del Rey into mainstream media, " Born to Die" [...]

Having dropped Simple Song in January, we now have more new Mercer in the form of its b-side, September. It's a woozy acoustic number with some some great western electric guitar noodles and of course an airy vocal from Mercer himself in which he admits 'i've been selfish and full of pride' . Indeed. The Simple Song single and accompanying September is out February 14, followed by the release of The Shin's new album, Port of Morrow , due out March 20th. The video was premiered [...]

The Shins just premiered their newest song 'September' over at www.recordstoreday.com . 'September' will be the B-Side of 'Simple Song' 7", and it will be in stores next week. The song is a more laid back, slow burner that is very different then any other songs in the past from The Shins. The Shins: "September" (b-side of "Simple Song" 7") from Record Store Day on Vimeo .
It seems that Tanner Ross can do no wrong as of late. Check out his pure fire remix of Lonely C & Baby Prince's 'I Remember Those Days'

Band of Skulls manages to maintain a balance between being pervasive enough in pop culture while remaining respectably incognito. Especially considering that multiple songs from their debut album, Baby Darling Doll Face Honey , have appeared in shows such as Gossip Girl, Skins, True Blood , movies like Twilight: New Moon and The Hangover II , as well as their single "I Know What I Am" a playable track on Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock . For those who've let this indie gem of a band slip through their playlists here's [...]

Don't Hold Ya Breath: The long-awaited first single from Marcus D's sophomore LP, Melancholy Hopeful. The fusion of sultry strings and mellow clarinet, coupled with biting, yet endearing lyrics from veteran jazz-hop wordsmith, Funky DL, displays both artists at the top of their game. Bolo, Marcus D's protege of sorts, also brings a classically smooth remix to the proverbial jazz-lounge table. The results are simply too good to be deemed "B-side" material in the traditional sense of the word. This isn't just good jazz-hop, this is good music. [...]

Watch the new clip above for "You And I" a B-side to single ' Black Treacle ' featuring Richard Hawley & The Death Ramps.
Arctic Monkeys are the coolest band in the world. In the video for 'Black Treacle' (out today) b-side 'You And I', the group are joined by Richard Hawley, who played guitar on All Saints' version of 'Under The Bridge'. He's also done some good things with music though, so don't [Read more]

Irish/Scottish band Snow Patrol are back with their 6 th studio effort Fallen Empires and they had big shoes to fill considering tracks from their previous efforts have been called "era-defining." Thoughtful, pensive tracks woven in between playful, fun songs on this new album showcases the musicianship of the band as well as Gary Lightbody's growth as a song writer. "In The End", "This Isn't Everything You Are" and "New York" are somber – to – soaring power tracks with a tone and depth that lends itself to an atmospheric quality. "I'll Never Let Go", [...]

Very dope gem, found by the brothers at BamaLoveSou l. J Dilla & Phife...win win chemistry. Aw naw! As I was compiling gems for my A Tribe Called Quest tribute set tonight, I uncovered this 1999 Phife Dawg release. This jazzy Jay Dee produced gem appeared on a German release and was the B Side to Bend Ova, also produced by Jay Dee. Somehow, for whatever reason, this track didn't make it onto his album and now it's hard to find. Enjoy! - BamaLovesSoul [...]
Seriously, the musical landscape of the 90s didn't have shit on the randomness of the 80s. Kate Bush Alternative Hounds Of Love The Handsome Cabin Boy I'm going to level with you,I don't know what's so "alternative" about this mix of "Hounds Of Love' aside from the fact that it's about 50 seconds longer than the original album version. It has the "do-we-do-do do-we-da-da" and those awesome drums still, so it still kicks ass. The real star here is the B-side, "The Handsome Cabin [...]

We never actually published the list, but The War On Drugs' "Slave Ambient" was our favourite record of the year – and new b-side "Don't Fear The Ghost" continues its linear, melancholic theme. So subtle, and yet so enveloping; it's definitely one to get yourself lost in. The War on Drugs - Don't Fear the Ghost by DOJAGSC Tweet

If, like me, you've gone home for Christmas, then chances are you're stuck out in the countryside somewhere trying to avoid Christmas music and awaiting relatives who you know will spend the next few days mercilessly taking the piss out of you. So if you know that pain, then surely you can forgive me producing yet another of these end-of-year lists. I've limited myself to only five though as I figure most people will skim mega-long lists. Over the last month there's been poll after poll, list after list; all essentially saying the same thing. But they're never [...]

Here is the newest addition to the Radiohead collection. 'Putting Ketchup In The Fridge' comes from The Bends/OK Computer era and after a listen you get the feeling that it would have been a perfect fit to fit right in the middle of those two albums. The song was never released on a single, album or EP but has been leaked recently and I thought it was a fantastic B-Side from Radiohead and it is a very nice throwback to all things The King of Limbs. (Putting Ketchup In The [...]
