Not content with getting (Tiger) Suited up for a North American tour, TMS’ favourite St Andrean songsmith is getting ready to share the love with everyone who can’t make it along to her current set of dates. Later this month KT will be performing at London’s HMV Forum, and the performance on the 8th March [...]
Lucky North Americanites! TMS fave KT Tunstall is taking her Tiger Suit out on the road in April, visiting a whole bunch of exciting places. It’s a long way from the student’s union in St Andrews, eh KT! Tickets will be going on sale this weekend, and apparently there’s also the prospect of further dates [...]
It is of course Burns Night this evening. And as a wee accompaniment to the haggis, the recitation of Tam O'Shanter and the innumerable toasts to the Immortal Memory, here's something from another Scottish institution: Camera Obscura's version of Ae Fond Kiss ("Ae Fond Kiss and then we slever" as we always knew it back [...]
Of course you listened to/watched the live webcast of Belle and Sebastian’s Live concert from the Barrowlands last month. What, you missed it? Well, fret not, puir bairn. The audio is still available on NPR’s website (although the video is gone, alas). This was a supremely fun concert in front of the Belles’ home crowd [...]

Edward Sharpe isn't a real person, though I kinda wish he were. Created by lead singer Alex Ebert for a book he was writing about a messianic figure who "was sent down to Earth to kinda heal and save mankind...but he kept getting distracted by girls and falling in love" this mythical figure now leads [...]
30 Rock has just released a soundtrack that encompasses all four years of the show that includes not only the original score but all the hilarious songs that have peppered the show with that special, ironical magic. For example, the classic 'Werewolf Bar Mitzvah' from the 2007 episode Jack Gets in the Game... Which we [...]
Back when we started this blog, Jay-Z's '99 Problems' was my JAM. Strutting my way through St. Andrews, Jay-Z screaming through my ipod as I made my way to the Art History department. Gangster. That was, gulp, five years ago but that song still blows minds. And The Prodigy seem to agree, they've just released [...]
Earlier this month, we announced that Patrick Wolf will be releasing a limited-edition 7″ for the song 'Time of my life.' Now as an accompaniment, Wolf is putting out a limited edition 123 in December with remixes of the song by DFA's Still Going, Leo Zero and Ceephax (Acid Crew). Can't wait for December? Grab [...]
Each year, bands produce a plethora of Halloween material hoping that its holiday sparkle with spur some interest. Seeing as Halloween is one of our favorite holidays of the year, we're a sucker for it all and love all the creepy videos and gloomy music we receive into our inbox during October. Here's some of [...]
Number 12 on Crystal Castles's second studio album titled Crystal Castles II (which was out in May 2010) is a cover of "Not in Love" by the 1980s new wave band Platinum Blonde. Ethan Kath sings the song on the album but the band have just released a reworking of the tune featuring Robert Smith, [...]
Drew Athans’ Black Book is the sort of thing that no serious Blur fan and bootleg collector should be without. In what has clearly been a serious labour of love, Athans has gone about collecting every bootleg he can find, and as well as making them available via his excellent The Blur Live Audio Archive, [...]
October 5th saw KT releasing her Tiger Suit upon the world. The Fife singer's 3rd LP (if you aren't counting KT Tunstall's Acoustic Extravaganza) has a lot of weight to bear: can Tunstall maintain the critical momentum that began with Eye to the Telescope and that she held on to with Drastic Fantastic, even if [...]
In further pursuit of my goal of turning TMS into a Belle & Sebastian fansite, here's the INTERNET VIDEO PROGRAMME that the band have been streaming on their home page for the last wee whiley. NOW WITH ADDED iPHONE DOWNLOADABILITY! I might give that a shot to see if I can get it on my [...]

The Graun has a great interview with Belle & Sebastian about forthcoming LP ...Write About Love today. Obviously this is going to be one of THE MOST ANTICIPATED RECORDS of 2010. I mean, I am anticipating like a bastard over it, and believe you me, that's a hell of a lot of anticipating. "And it [...]
